Checkup and cleaning appointments are always made separate, requiring 2 visits at a minimum. The dentist that reviews your check-up is remote, so you have to wait in some queue until they are available to talk to you over the internet or make a separate appointment, and they often try to upsell on their flouride treatment and other products which I did get for my kids, but required more visits to the dental office and didn't end up preventing cavities for them. Appointments often require 1-2 months of advanced planning, making any appointment changes is painful since an ortho appointment which should be every 6 weeks is now 3 months apart. What I do like is they are organized and have call center service promptly available and return calls quickly, and try to resolve any appointment or insurance issues immediately.

Downey location At first, this seemed like a decent place, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. I would NOT recommend this office to anyone ,and I’m not someone who complains easily. The customer service is absolutely horrible. My daughter went here for orthodontic treatment. I paid in full for a two-year braces plan, which dragged into three years. During that time, scheduling appointments was a constant struggle. She had a bite plate that was supposed to be in for six months, it broke in her mouth after ten months, and they simply removed it. There were frequent corrections to mistakes they had made, right up to the end when they had to re-scan and redo her retainer because of their own error. The front desk staff (particularly two of the Hispanic receptionists) were consistently rude. They made my husband , her guardian, sign a waiver just for her to be seen, and even gave my 20-year-old daughter an attitude because they assumed she was a minor. Later, they said they sent me a waiver when all she needed to do was pick up her retainer, they never sent the waiver had to leave work for them to see her. The worst part was when my daughter overheard them speaking in Spanish and talking badly about her, assuming she didn’t understand because she looks Caucasian. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. To top it off, my husband was quoted nearly $3,000 for dental work here. We got a second opinion elsewhere, and the cost was under $500. Beware before choosing this dentist. Don’t settle just because it’s close or convenient. They overcharge, make repeated mistakes, and treat customers with zero respect. Not worth the stress or the money. They need to do a training for their employees on how to treat a customer, with respect.

Ask for Dr. Mia. I randomly got her for my deep cleaning for left and right side for both days. She very kind, gentle and so sweet but more importantly her hands are precision steady with the tools, which made my teeth look pearly white again. Hope I get her again for my follow up in 3 months.
