They saved my daughter! They have the most caring staff I have ever seen. They are very organized and professional and the best facility hands down in regard to treating eating disorders. The staff and nurses were very friendly and knowledgeable and helped my daughter to overcome her anorexia and anxiety. The teachers and therapists did a great job to educate her and address her body image disturbance. I also see a great improvement on her self esteem and her feelings about herself and her body in general. Thank you Monte Nido for saving me daughter. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

First of all these two other reviews are NOT related to the Calabasas house! This is the literally the WORSE facility ever! If you want your child to get better RUN from this place. They keep your child for longer than needed especially if you have good insurance. My daughter got worse and worse when she was there. I had to report this facility to the regional director who immediately removed my daughter from there. There was a male staff that would make comments to the girls and when I complained about it, nothing was done by the director, until I reported it to the regional manager, THEN he was fired. So many things wrong with this facility so please keep your children away!!!

Little nido is the best eating disorder residential around. They have the most caring and amazing staff that you could ever ask for! The therapists: Tessa, Olivia and Hanna are so knowledgeable and really work on the deep and important things in therapy in order to break free from ed. It is a milieu of 6 people which is really nice. You get to know each person really well and it becomes like your family. You get a lot of individual care and your treatment and meal plan are tailored specifically for you. The rc’s and therapists are extremely supportive and have meals with you and help make some of the most challenging and scary moments at the table a little less scary. The groups are all run by a therapist and the groups are actually good! I learned so many coping skills while being at nido that I still use to this day! If you are looking for an extremely supportive environment for recovery this is the best one (I have been to a lot of others). A lot of the staff are recovered and it is truly so inspiring to know that they were once in your shoes and now they are fully recovered. The therapists also interact in non therapy ways as well such as playing the best game on earth called nertz. The staff believe and care so much about each and every person. Not only do they care about you while you are there but when you discharge they encourage you to update and call them. Nido is truly so special and I am so grateful for my time there.

I spent a few months at Monte Nido Malibu, those few months literally saved my life. I didn't want to go, I was afraid of it all, why would this help when none of the others did? but I was at a point where it was either go & try, or die. I finally decided I wasn't dying, that it wasn't my decision when my time on this earth is up. That's reserved for a higher power who is definitely not me, & that was a tough decision for a control freak. I'm a single mother of a young child, he needs me. It was either let this thing absolutely destroy me or fight. I fought, and still do, like hell. Because if I didn't fight, it's HIM who would've paid the price. It's my mom who would've paid the price. My sister. My niece & nephews. That was something I knew deep down I could not let happen. I was a shell of a person, surviving not living-and that's no way for any soul to walk through this life. I didn't think I deserved to get help, I didn't think I deserved to be happy. In my mind, this was my karma, and also my way to control a very out of control life. I deserved all of it. Or so I thought. But then I walked through those doors, & something in me knew that I was right where I was suppose to be. It was hard as hell. Scary as hell. Every day was the utmost challenge. Every group pushed me to my absolute limits. But you know what? That's what I needed, that was my blessing in disguise. I've learned so much from them, tools I'll have forever, sisters I'll have forever. The kindness, compassion, support, love & honesty I received from every single person there, that's what saved me. They got into my soul. They helped me find me again, after 20yrs of going in circles, searching for that girl before ED, they helped find her again. And all along, she was always in me, I just didn't know it until Monte Nido opened my eyes, my heart & cleared my mind & soul & gave me strength. I cannot truly fully express the impact the center had on me, but I can say, without a doubt, they saved my life. The only advice I can give to people suffering is that anything worth having is going to be really hard to achieve, BUT we all have it in ourselves to get there. Sometimes we just need a little help, a little reminder of the amazing goddesses we truly are. "Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right."
