Thank God we had a family member that was familiar with a hospice care situation and led us through the process. One the wrong medication was delivered and by delivered I mean dropped off at the door to anyone that answered and no ask of ID etc. the nurse that did show up for “intake” did nothing, had no idea how to change meds said I can’t get a hold of admin since I don’t have a signal and I can’t do anything without permission… I had to drive to cell service and call admin myself and ask them to please send the correct meds out asap. I had to go back and ask the nurse to leave since she was of no use and admin could not contact her and tell her to leave due to a lack of cell service (typical for my grandma’s home and they were told about that issue). Also the oxygen machine did not have the proper connections and therefore we had to borrow from a friend that had oxygen until we could get the correct equipment delivered. We were never given an explanation of how hospice works, never given any reading material about the dying process and what to expect. Finally the night my grandma ended up passing away they sent out a good nurse that answered all of our questions that afternoon after numerous phone calls to admin requesting a nurse to come to the house and check her. Please please know that your family can request any hospice company and ask around to family and friends for referrals on who they have experience with as Traditions Health Hospice was a nightmare that I wouldn’t wish on anyone! Also I’d give negative stars if that was an option.BEWARE!!
- PMpm MgJan 18, 20213.0I used the service since 2019. The care staff was pretty good and friendly, however I had to continually verify the meds, due to mistakes by the nurses. Mix ups on CNA coverage initially, however we got that worked out. The other issue is they mis-diagnosed my mother on her review intake for 2020, with want my father has and then discharged her. I explained to the director on January 7th that the intial intake for my mother was dementia in 2019, why was this changed. The Director promised to call me back on Friday January 8th, but did not. I called again Monday January 11th, left message with secretary never heard back. Today is the 18th and still no call back.
