- BBBrianDec 19, 20251.0Typical corporate gym bs. LA Fitness the Dana White edition. They could open this place much sooner, but they rake in profit from pre-opening sales for as long as possible to keep costs down. Been 6 months, still no opening date. Sticking with my gym for sure.
- LWLisa WDec 12, 20251.0Posting this as a warning. I called UFC Gym Alhambra only to ask about memberships since the location is not open yet. The General Manager, Brian Sherman, said membership “vouchers” were limited and encouraged me to “secure” one. I asked several times if this was an official membership or contract and was told no - that anything official would be signed in person once the gym opens, and that I could change my mind at any time. Despite that, I was asked for banking information and told no charges would occur. After the call, I received an email with a membership agreement that I never signed. My name was misspelled, the signature and initials were not mine, and the form contained placeholder/fake information. An initiation fee was then charged anyway, even though the gym is not open and no agreement was authorized. When I immediately contacted them to cancel, I was told cancellation was not possible because their system “wasn’t up yet,” which makes no sense since they were able to enroll and charge me. Even if the gym ends up being nice, the sales and billing practices are a major red flag. Proceed with caution and don’t provide payment info unless everything is fully open and clearly documented.
- JTjubilee tsuyukiNov 13, 20255.0I am very familiar with the Alhambra city and Im glad this La fitness is now a UFC gym and because it will have a boxing area and a sparing area, just the way I like it. plus it has lots of squat racks I saw in the blueprint video on here. However, Melanie Cruz is the one I spoke to and she seems cool. I want to be more convinced to be able to switch because it will be 24 hours as well, she said. I hope I can perhaps cancel my membership for 24 and then go to UFC perhaps. But I am a visual person to get the vibe of the gym, until I can be fully locked in to this gym. So far good stuff for Alhambra making moves. :D
