  I particularly wanted to thank my audiologist Margret Orme for her kind conversation and complete professionalism. Her explanation of the results was very helpful, as was the extra testing at 50dB (normal conversational level) as well as the standard 65dB. I am a retired professor of mechanical engineering and have taught acoustic measurement theory to many third year student classes. I was very impressed with the scope and thoroughness of the test.

  I’m very happy with my visits. The office staff are always pleasant, helpful and patient communicating with me - which I know can be difficult. And Margret has gone well beyond any previous audiologist I’ve seen in setting up my hearing aids, listening to my concerns and providing direction to assistive programs.

  My experience with Connect Hearing began when my late husband, who had severe hearing loss as a result of proximity to gunfire during his naval career, became a patient of audiologist Mae Hernandez. My husband had become increasingly isolated by his deafness, no longer able to participate in conversation, mis-hearing what had been said to him; Dr. Hernandez prescribed sophisticated Phonak hearing aids, enabling him to hear once again the voices of his family and good friends—really restoring him to society. More recently, my hearing deteriorated. After thorough audiological testing, Dr. Hernandez prescribed hearing aids with noise cancelling technology which permit me to hear clearly, even in crowded, noisy situations. Connect Hearing has a number of offices on Vancouver Island and elsewhere. The staff are without exception kind and courteous, greeting clients when they enter the well-decorated, comfortable offices. Appointments take place on time; devices are manufactured with despatch and presented with charging capsules; cleaning devices are included. There is never pressure to upgrade to potentially more-expensive hearing aids than one really needs. I have no hesitation in recommending that those with hearing loss contact Dr. Hernandez and Connect Hearing.
