I've been visiting this Fitness World location for almost three years now, and while there are some good perks that keep me coming back, there are also some significant drawbacks that need addressing. On the positive side: Free parking is a great convenience and makes getting to the gym hassle-free. The lighting is good, which creates a good workout atmosphere. The large windows offer a nice view, which helps motivate during a long cardio session. However, the cons are notable: The equipment is outdated and there is a lack of proper maintenance. Over my three years here, I've seen numerous broken machines and massage chairs and massage beds sit unrepaired for extended periods. There is a clear need for a general equipment upgrade and better maintenance. Staff friendliness is a major issue. The personal trainers who also work as floor staff generally seem unapproachable and rarely smile. They provide service if you hire them as personal trainer, but for general inquiries or assistance on the floor, they are not very helpful. The staff culture also appears to lack diversity, which contributes to a less welcoming atmosphere overall. The management needs to invest in equipment upkeep and foster a friendlier, more inclusive staff environment to match its potential.

Overall, I really like this gym — it has great equipment, lots of different machines and classes, and the massage chairs are amazing. However, there are a few things you should be aware of before signing up. When you come to buy a membership, they will push very aggressively to sell you personal training sessions. They will tell you that the discount is only available on the first day and that you will “never get this price again.” Spoiler: you absolutely will — the discount is always there. They will also give you an InBody scan and then tell you that something is seriously wrong with your body — not enough muscle, too much fat, too little water, asymmetrical arms, asymmetrical legs, etc. The goal is simple: to make you feel insecure so you buy training sessions. If you get an InBody scan, I strongly recommend checking the numbers yourself — even ChatGPT or the official InBody website will give you a more accurate interpretation than what they try to convince you of. Remember that the staff selling training usually earn a commission, so they are financially motivated to exaggerate your “problems.” Be careful when signing up. The gym itself is great — just don’t fall for the sales tactics

I really enjoy the daily classes at Fitness World — they are amazing and I’ve been very satisfied. However, I recently had a very unpleasant experience with one of the personal trainers. During my PT sessions, the trainer didn’t stay focused on coaching me. Instead of paying attention to my form, he kept looking around and seemed distracted, lacking sincerity and attention to detail. During my final session, rather than helping me train, he spent most of the time trying to convince and pressure me to renew my PT package. If I had been satisfied with his training, I would have naturally continued, but being pushed like that made me extremely uncomfortable. The lack of focus even led to lower back pain afterward. In conclusion, I hope Fitness World can address this issue so that members don’t feel pressured or uncomfortable about extending PT sessions, especially when the trainer has not been professional. Because of this experience, I’ve decided to receive PT elsewhere where I can continue training without psychological pressure.

I'm a few months into my membership here and really enjoying it. The gym's big enough to feel like you're not too crowded in with other people (most of the time), but small enough that you start to recognize staff members and other regulars, so it has a nice friendly vibe. It has a decent mix of equipment - I'm a beginner and the machine weights have been great for me, but they have more advanced equipment too. And I love the hydromassage! I've also had a truly great experience training with Tiago. The top-tier personal training level isn't cheap, but it's been so worth it for me as I'm in my late 40s and have some lifelong problems due to a childhood arm/shoulder injury and other issues. Tiago's been really helpful at modifying my workouts to increase my strength and improve my movement without triggering my various issues (e.g., adjusting my body position or grip on some of the machines - amazing how much difference a small shift like that can make!), and giving me stretches and other recovery exercises to do at home.

I’ve been a member here for a long time, and I’m saying this because I actually care about the gym and the experience it could offer. The gym is consistently overcrowded that its quite shocking. It’s not uncommon to wait 15–20 minutes for a machine, especially during peak hours, because there is no capacity limit being enforced. It becomes difficult to have a productive workout when most of the equipment is either in use or in disrepair. A large number of machines have been broken for months. The stair masters in particular have been out of service for years, and many other machines are worn down or unstable. We pay a maintenance fee, yet it’s very clear that the funds are not being used to maintain or replace aging equipment. The environment feels neglected. Additionally, there has been a stall in the women’s washroom that has been out of order for over half a year. It’s a small detail, but it’s also a sign of how long-standing issues go unaddressed. I genuinely want this gym to improve because the staff are generally kind and the community could be strong. It just needs management to take responsibility, repair the equipment, maintain basic facilities, and consider capping capacity so members are actually able to train. Until these changes happen, it’s difficult to justify the membership cost or the maintenance fees we are required to pay.
