My experience with Fitness World has been extremely troubling, particularly with the head office and certain employees, including Renee and her colleagues. Renee engaged in behavior that was unprofessional and harmful, including making false accusations against me. I also experienced discrimination and coordinated harassment from other staff members, which caused significant emotional distress. I am now taking legal action to ensure that the company is held accountable for its actions. This matter will be addressed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, where the conduct of Renee and her colleagues at the head office will be carefully examined. Fitness World’s handling of this situation raises serious concerns about how they treat members and address complaints.

THEY STILL OWE ME MONEY I paused my account during summer months, in which I was supposed to be paying only half the price. They still charged me full price months after months. When I contacted them, the manager said he will refund me. 2 weeks, then 1 month, then 6 weeks. Nothing was refunded. When I followed up with the manager, he completely ignored me. No apologies, no explanation, nothing. Worst customer service ever. Next will be the Consumer Protection BC that I'm contacting

I tried Fitness World Kingsway for a few days with their free trial and PT session, and overall I’d describe the gym as solid but basic. The staff I interacted with were polite and the gym does make an effort to keep areas reasonably tidy. The hydro massage beds are a nice perk, and the free 3-day trial plus intro session were appreciated. That said, the gym didn’t fully match what I’m looking for. Some of the equipment layout felt awkward (for example, benches nailed down very close to the dumbbell rack), and a few of the machines, particularly the Hoist cable units, felt noticeably under-loaded compared to their listed stack weight. It’s not a dealbreaker for most people, but if you train more seriously it stands out. I also had a couple of small miscommunications with scheduling. The ops are unable to properly keep appointments and are confused A LOT. Overall: A decent gym with friendly staff and the basics covered, but the atmosphere and setup didn’t feel like the right fit for me personally. Many people will find it perfectly fine. Definitely check it out, solid gym!

Mens washroom and change rooms are disgusting and never get cleaned, pee/pubes all over the bathrooom floor every single time I've been there No seated hamstring curl machine, one leg extension machine that needs to be replaced (the shin pad is severly askew). Nobody puts plates away, machines will break and not get fixed for months at a time... ex: the only lat pulldown machine has been broken for a month or two already. There's also low ceilings and terrible air circulation: smells terrible and gets humid from sweat when it's even slightly busy. Cheap for a reason.. small gym, absolutely packed during regular/peak hours.

I’ve had such a great experience at Fitness World Kingsway! The gym is well-maintained, spacious, and has everything you need for a solid workout. But the real standout is Shauna at the front desk. She is incredibly welcoming, professional, and always goes above and beyond to help members out. Every time I walk in, she greets me with genuine kindness and makes the whole place feel more inviting. Shauna truly elevates the experience here—she’s a huge asset to the gym. Highly recommend this location!
