- NMNathanial MillerAug 25, 20251.0Yeah so I completed my online paperwork, indicating I only care about hsv1 and 2 testing in addition to uploading my insurance card. Arrived 15 mins early , I forgot my wallet so I had to spend 23 mins downloading their stupid app to download a picture of my driver's license. Only to discover there IS NO WAY to upload that info on the app. I was then directed to use an email right there at the FRONT DESK!!! I was then asked to produce a urine sample and charged a 50.00 dollar copay before I actually saw a care provider. To their credit only took about 3 mins to be called back by the provider who was about to draw my blood withou t asking ANY questions. Luckily I had the foresight to ask them what they were testing for before they got started and then I had to tell them why I was there. ONLY TO BE INFORMED, THEY ONLY TEST FOR HERPES IF YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE OUTBREAK. No duh! Why would I get screened by anyone other than my PCP if I had an active outbreak!? I was then offered a full panel, which I already did at the maricopa health clinic in down town phoenix for 20 bucks and recieved my results the next day! Do not waste your time here, your time and your money are better spent at the maricopa health clinic, Pph is WILDLY unprofessional.

She was kind, patient and really went the extra mile to find out what was going on. I will be coming back to Planned Parenthood and leaving my regular OB/GYN. 10/10 service!

I choose them over private Gyns because I've found them to provide comparable service AND they continue to advocate for reproductive rights and health. It's been hit and miss with the techs. Nothing bad, just likely a difference in their experience level. That means I have to explain things differently to different techs. I've seen Kelli Hernandez, NP on two occasions and she is stellar. She's knowledgeable, compassionate, and welcomes questions, even hard ones. It breaks my heart that they have to have the security procedures in place that segregate providers from the public. There are people who were dissatisfied because they were unable to accompany their loved one into the appointment. I get it, but it's for everyone's safety and based on events over the last few decades. I admire and appreciate that they continue to offer family planning services despite their own potential harm. Pro-child. Pro-family. Pro-choice.
