  I went to Planned Parenthood Mesa to get birth control and had a really positive experience. The staff were kind, respectful, and made me feel comfortable the entire time. They took the time to explain my options, answered my questions clearly, and never made me feel rushed or judged. I’m grateful for how easy and supportive they made the process, and for having access to care like this in our community.

  Tried to be seen not too long ago about some health concerns i had. Made an appointment and everything. When I showed up, the front desk lady was super condescending and made me leave after she told me it was my birth control causing my issues. Didn't get to see the doctor or anything.

  These are some of the rudest people ive ever met. Could hear them talking bad about me outside my door. Do not come here if you're feeling vulnerable and need help.

  Walked in and was immediately asked to pay $300 before anyone even asked if I had insurance. I came in for a simple IUD removal, nothing else, which is covered 100% by my Aetna plan. They then tried to bill me an additional code (99203), which is an office visit charge. I did not receive a wellness exam, pap smear, diagnostic testing, or anything that would justify an office visit code. I was essentially being charged $80 just for stepping into the building. I called my insurance while I was in the clinic, and the representative confirmed that IUD removal (58301) is fully covered and advised me to dispute the extra charge. I left without paying because I didn’t owe anything. This was a frustrating waste of time, and I will not be returning to this location. Be aware of this type of overbilling and make sure your visit is coded correctly.

  I used to come here for years for birth control and always thought the staff was nice. But today I went in to discuss something very personal and a rare condition, so I was already feeling vulnerable. While I was in the exam room, I could hear the practitioners talking about me in the hallway, saying I was wasting their time and even reacting with “oh geez” when referring to my situation. I ended up paying $200 just to be referred to a gynecologist, and I left feeling awful—I cried in my car. If you don’t want your private health concerns talked about loudly for everyone to hear, I wouldn’t recommend going here.
