Had a 1:00 PM appointment that I scheduled two weeks in advance, and the moment I walked in it was absolute chaos. Over 30 people crammed into a tiny, poorly ventilated waiting room, with more people standing outside. Shoulder to shoulder. Gross. There are three front desk stations, yet not a single employee was working any of them. Zero. In a lobby full of patients. Make that make sense. I checked in using one of the kiosks and looked at the queue screen only to see 30 names ahead of me. My name didn’t even appear for at least 10 minutes, and when it finally did, I learned I would be placed after everyone already there, despite having a scheduled appointment. What is the point of making appointments if they mean absolutely nothing? I would have been there for hours if I stayed. To make it even more absurd, there’s a sign on the wall asking patients to “be nice to the front desk staff.” First of all, there was no front desk staff. Second, if management feels the need to put up a sign like that, it says a lot more about how poorly this place is run than it does about the patients. This location is understaffed, overcrowded, poorly managed, and honestly just disgusting. The vibes were awful, the air felt stale, and the entire experience felt irresponsible from a health and safety standpoint. I walked out and will never return. Save yourself the headache and spend the money on a private service. This place is a joke. Don’t bother.

I don't know if the system has changed for every location. I usually go to a different location where I scan my code for my appointment. There was a tv showing your name in line at the other location too. At this location they have you sign in with your phone number. There is no TV showing your place in line. The system at this location is broken I think. I feel bad for the employees, what a nightmare for them to deal with. It was a complete mess at this location. There isn't a person up front to help. People just frantically knock at the door if they have a drop off or get a text that its their turn. The most alarming part of my experience today is that my 9am appointment was given to the wrong Kelsey. She was a walk-in and the person verifying the information didn't catch this. The person that verifies your information is the same person that draws your blood, fyi. You would think this person would ask to see an ID to verify that they have the right individual. Or ask themselves why the last name, phone number, address doesn't match the person in front of them. Nope, she just assumed she had the right Kelsey. So at 9:40am I finally caught someone and asked about my appointment for 9am (I checked in early about 8:52am). They were completely confused and questioned me twice if I had checked it. I kept saying yes, I signed in with my phone number at the kiosk. I finally had to show them my email confirmation so they would believe me. When I was taken back the person started going over my information and then it clicked for her. She was like Ohhhh I had the wrong Kelsey...I was wondering why the other Kelsey's information was all wrong. She said the other Kelsey told her she was recently married so she assumed that's why all of the information was wrong. It was a shocking. Why aren't they checking ID's? She didn't ask for my ID either, only my insurance card. I left there in shock honestly. I still can't believe my appointment was given to the wrong person just because we have the same first name. I triple checked my tubes of blood had my correct name and DOB because this seems like the kind of place that could mix things up. FYI-The wait time for folks without appointments was 1 hour and 45 minutes. My wait time with an appointment was about 50 minutes. I would suggest trying a different location. I've never had an issue like this at the Banner Gateway location. I'll be going back there in the future.

This isn’t a review of the employees rather the new system . They removed all front desk jobs and have you check on via kiosk and that tech on the back now does the blood draw and all insurance etc. the signage is lacking so folks were very confused . Plus , if they are using this model at least use the tv screen to show your place in line so you know you properly checked on . Many older folks were so unnerved . I think if you show the name on the screen and spot in virtual line it will calm fears . Additionally, you need a system For people doing specimen drop offs . They had no idea what to do. I was there 75 mins waiting so I saw and heard it all . Lastly , for those of use who make appointments perhaps add more info to the online portion. - like allow us to scan in our orders to help the techs move faster . The process can work , it needs tweaking though . Finally , put a sign up that says no receptionist . People just thought the person was out or on break . You need to tell people how the new way works . Heck I’d even just close those windows and remove all chairs in the front clerical area so people know there will never be a receptionist

Horrible systems of operations— the phlebotomist are now doing all the insurance, codes, payments, and taking forever!!!!!!!!!! I like it when the front desk people check you in, review codes, collect payment so when you go back to the room they verify your name etc and draw blood. I have been here for over 3 hours and still waiting. Never coming here again.
