I finally put it off for long enough, and at age 37, I went to see if I was a candidate. Turns out Lasik wasn't a good match for my eyes, but PRK was an option! I went for it a month ago. Just came in for my one-month checkup, and I'm already seeing 20/20 with no corrective lenses. It isn't quite as sharp (yet) as it was with glasses/contacts, but it gets better every day! PRK healing is a marathon, not a sprint. I am very consistent on making sure to keep them protected from UV. This is going to be something I'll have to continue doing, but I basically already did it before, anyway. I can't believe it took me so long to do this.

- KMKris MelNov 15, 20255.0Hi, I recently had PRK LASIK done on 11/14 with Dr. Perry. The procedure itself was flawless. Dr. Perry took excellent care of me during the surgery. My right eye took about 20 seconds and my left eye took about 14 seconds. I didn't feel any pain at all and was able to see clearly right after the procedure. It's such a huge game-changer. There's a longer recovery for PRK, but I'm putting all my trust in Dr. Perry and will follow the recovery process. If you are on the fence about getting LASIK, I highly recommend pulling the trigger.
