This group was excellent with my mother and she loved her some Ms. Barbra! Thanks again, ladies!

My mother was placed in Hospice in 2019. We chose Homestead Hospice. The only reason I am leaving a 2 star rating is because I know they visited with my mother but there is no follow up or true discussion about what Hospice entailed. We (my family) were in constant panic mode watching her pass away. We had no idea what to expect and it wasn't really explained. I have since learned that true Hospice prepares the family for death, discusses what will be experienced along with access to a Chaplain and grief counseling. There was no follow up and no grief counseling and we never met with a Chaplain.

I usually do not leave reviews, but in this case I feel it is necessary to do so. We placed our father under the care of Homestead Hospice last year. There was some bills incurred during his time with them. Once my father passed, they did not honor their obligation to pay such bills. They admitted that they were responsible to pay, but chose to ignore the bills and us. The bills were over 2,000 dollars. After a very frustrating year of them not returning calls or correspondence, we paid the bills ourselves. Just beware that once your beloved has passed, they wipe their hands of you and their monetary obligations.
