This practice, originally Killen Family Dental . Founded by Dr. James Zickler in the early 80’s. Merging with Dr. Bruce Evans 2018 to become Shoal Creek Dental. Dr. Evans and Dr. Zickler share values & a respect for our patients that is most honorable. Dr. Zickler has transitioned into full retirement but is mentioned here for the legacy of trust and the true craftsmanship of dental care he provided for 40 years. It is our intention to build on that foundation.
Speaking of Legacy, Dr. Saul Evans has chosen to return home to build his practice. The culture here is to mentor each other and Dr. S. Evans will have the benefit of working along side his father to gather this wealth of information.

- BJBill JonesNov 12, 20255.0I'm just as fond of going to the dentist as anyone. I had an abcess tooth (extremely painful) on Friday and they prescribed antibodies. One hour after taking the med, the pain lessened quite a bit. Then they had me back Monday afternoon and pulled my bad tooth. What a fantastic organization. EVERYONE there is so helpful and kind. I was in and out in no time. I may be crazy, but I look forward to going to the dentist.

- KBKeeley BrooksMay 22, 20255.0As someone who has had a 20-year fear of dentists due to bad experiences and dental trauma, Dr. Evans and his staff are top notch breaths of fresh air. Their office is so nice and clean, and their front desk staff are very kind, polite, and helpful. Hygienists Amber and Brandi (Brandy?) are superb, and their bedside manner matches that of Dr. Bruce Evans. He was so down to earth, compassionate, and calming, and he actually took the time to listen to my concerns and put me at ease. Over the past two decades, I've used IV sedation for any work needed because I've been so terrified and untrusting. After a consultation with Dr. Evans, I was so at ease, I did not need the IV sedation. Instead, I opted for the oral sedation, and everything went extremely well. I cannot recommend Shoal Creek Dental highly enough. I would not waste my time going anywhere else. These people are on their game, there's never much of a wait, they're efficient and kind, and they work WITH you, not against you. There is no better dentist and staff in North Alabama.
