I had a horrible experience with The Diabetes Store. They sent me a CGM before confirming my insurance benefits, leaving me to pay over 1500K out of pocket. If I had been properly advised about my patient responsibility, I could have made an educated decision. I was not provided with any claims cost information to be able to estimate my percent due until 3 months after I had already received and used the first shipment. Consumers please be vigilant and demand a cost estimate. This company made sure to immediately ship the costliest portion of the initial kit without any accompanying invoices in the box or statements to follow. It feels like this was an intentional money grab with reckless disregard for the patient.
