This review is for the Pell City location at Complete Health. Dr Ambrosia is great, granted I’ve only seen him twice, the initial appointment and before the surgery. I had trigger finger release surgery done on my right thumb. The surgery went great he did an awesome job, however, at my follow up appointment to get the stitches removed, I over heard the nurse telling another Dr that I was a cry baby. She told me I must not be able to handle pain very well and proceeded to act as if I wasn’t in severe pain while she was trying to remove the stitches. The Dr came in to remove the stitches because she couldn’t get them out without causing more pain. The dr stated that the skin had swollen over the stitches and he sprayed some “numbing” spray on my thumb. It didn’t relieve the pain or even make it stop hurting it just caused my hand to go very cold. The pain was so bad it felt like they were stabbing my hand while trying to remove the stitches. In the end he had me spray the “numbing” spray while he pulled and cut the last stitch out. I don’t think they understand how badly it hurt. I’m a type 1 diabetic and I can hand some pain, but to be called a cry baby while in their office is ridiculous. My thumb is still extremely painful and I was told by several people that have had this surgery before that it shouldn’t be this painful, but every time it touches anything or anytime I use my right hand it hurts so bad I have to stop and give myself a minute before doing anymore. I don’t think patients should be called names especially when they are on the other side of the door and can hear it.

Showed up multiple times to find out my appointments were magically canceled without ever letting me know.

These are the most rudest people I have ever dealt with at a doctors office. The lady's sitting at the front desk are laughing and making fun of people. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend this place to anyone
