They were kind and thorough and gave me a shot that stopped it completely, and it healed up in short order. The nurse was older, but would love to have her as my PCM.

Once the PA entered she had already decided there was nothing wrong with my child. She did not bother to conduct an exam until after telling me and my child that she would not be helping him and that she assumed nothing was wrong. She said that there was nothing emergent about his presentation because a wheelchair wasn’t required to transport him to the room. She became snippy when I asked questions to better understand why she was dismissing a likely diagnosis without having conducted any exam. She ultimately provided vague and avoidant answers, suggesting that she didn’t actually know the answers and wasn’t willing to admit her knowledge deficit. She was dismissive and lacked good bedside manner. Actually, she lacked any manners at all.
