Decided to try this place out when they had a last minute reservation available on New Year's Eve. Despite it being a holiday we never felt rushed and recieved excellent service. Everything was delicious from our drinks, hors d'oeuvres, entree and sides. We even got a dessert to go. The star of the show was definitely the Brussel sprouts. Absolutely delicious!
The 5 of us decided to try this along with some other friends for a Holiday get-together and meal. Overall the food was tasty and presented well. The atmosphere did not remind me of an authentic French Restaurant, rather a nice American restaurant. The menu items are overpriced for the the actual food/drinks served including the appetizer (see photos). Thankfully we ordered the appetizer, as the main entree will not satisfy most peoples appetite. It seemed like maybe the Hamburger would be the best value - but overpriced as well. In summary, it might be place to try once, but that would be about it for us unless you are expecting to drop well over $100 for an average sized meal that tasted good (that would include appetizer, salad, main entree, drink and without desert!).

My Fiancé and I came here for a new place to try, and we left super happy! The food was absolutely amazing!!! Being our first time, we had our waiter recommend some dishes. The Truffles Goat Cheese Gougeres were perfect to start with. So much flavor and light too. I ordered the Monte Cristo and I was happy I did! She ordered the Royale with Cheese and she said it was very tasty. Can't wait to come back again!! 10 of 10 would recommend!!!

DO NOT PASS THIS RESTAURANT OVER! THIS PLACE IS A MUST.
My humble love letter:
I am leaving your establishment pleasantly full, happy and very impressed. My intention was to quietly try a new place and use one of my city tins. Yet, plans quickly changed. Where do I start?
The brunch menu was jammed with so much decadence, making decisions was a challenge. First, a Rouge Basilic, which was a refreshing start with waterelon & basil. I ordered the soup du jour, curried carrot, and two appetizers - duck & brie turnovers and truffled goat cheese gougeres. I'm thankful my server suggested staggering service. Oof! Following all of this I ordered the wild mushroom and winter squash galette. It was served with a sunny side egg on top and the most pleasantly dressed salad on the side. Let me just say -- Every. Dish. Blew. My. Mind!
While I'm not a food critic, I'm no novice. Textures, flavors, temperatures. Everything was spectacular. Perfection! I could have licked the soup bowl clean. Simply divine. I took a few snaps, couldn't help it. Everything is incredibly photogenic, and that extends beyond the menu as well. The decor... please potential customers, take note of the immense detail and love put into the design and detail of this place! The thoughtful use of gorgeous, feminine colors, textures, images. Ladies, use the powder room. Don't have to go? Doesn't matter -- Use. The. Powder. Room. IYKYK.
I shook the owner's hand and heard her story of how Margaux Brasserie came to be. Bravo! Chef's Kiss!
That soun for such large and costly events is unacceptable.
⭐️⭐️ Review: Margaux (Brookfield) - Great Food, Unacceptable Service
Overall Rating: 2/5 Stars
Margaux in Brookfield offers genuinely good food, which is what makes the experience all the more frustrating. Unfortunately, the quality of the cuisine is completely overshadowed by a profoundly unsatisfactory and unprofessional service experience, particularly for private events.
I hosted two large private parties (40 and 60 guests), spending approximately $3,500 and $4,200 respectively. Despite the significant investment, the process of organizing both events was a complete disaster, solely due to the party coordinator.
The Problematic Coordination
Initial Unresponsiveness: After reaching out multiple times without success in April, I was finally able to book the room only after involving the manager, Hugo, who was consistently the one helpful point of contact.
Bizarre Scheduling and Communication: The coordinator's communication was erratic. This included attempts to schedule calls late on a Saturday night (9 PM from a hotel in Nashville!), dry and unhelpful responses about scheduling, and ignoring my messages until I had to involve Hugo again.
Unprofessional Conduct: The coordinator displayed unbelievable unprofessionalism, including:
Texting me at 5:45 PM and, when I missed the notification while working, sending a defensive follow-up email about being "ready on Saturday" (suggesting a defense-building tactic).
Sending a text with "really 🤡!!!" along with a copy of my invoice on October 31st after realizing I was moving forward directly with Hugo. The subsequent "apology" claiming it was meant for her girlfriend about a Halloween costume was wholly unconvincing.
Sending a final, almost unbelievable email four days before the party stating, "this is the last time I am reaching out, do I want the room or she will release it."
Management Failure
The most concerning aspect is the absolute lack of accountability and oversight. I requested to speak with the person overseeing the restaurant (Gemma) four separate times—even calling the sister restaurant, Bel Aire Cantina, to get a message to her—and never received any reply or acknowledgement. This suggests a deep indifference to how poorly these high-cost events were handled.
The Silver Lining (Hugo & the Food)
I only completed these parties because I was able to work directly with the manager, Hugo, who was fantastic and continually stepped in to resolve issues. The food itself was delicious and enjoyed by our guests.
Conclusion: Given the incredible stress, unprofessionalism, and outright insulting behavior from the coordinator, compounded by the complete silence from high-level management, I cannot recommend Margaux for private events. Spending nearly $8,000 for two parties should warrant, at minimum, a smooth and respectful experience. Until management addresses the severe communication and professional issues, this restaurant is only worth two stars.
