I came to use the coin master to turn in change for a fundraiser... After I received the Slip to be cashed I turned around to see Ellen working at the register at the self checkout while there was no one that she was tending to, I asked her if I could cash it with her and without even looking up at me, she shoed me away why gesturing to the direction of Checkstands and told me to go to a checkstand. (Wow, super rude) I went into the direction that she shoed me off to only to find there were no checks open so that meant that I had to go back to her to ask her where she was speaking of and that's when she finally decided to treat me like a human being and look at me while I was talking to her, and then she pointed me into another direction by the liquor there was a checkstand with the light on with no one there I told her there was no one there just to find out when the checker came to the checkstand and helped me that they would need an override from Guess Who???? Ellen herself who couldn't be bothered, but still had to be bothered when she could've just taken care of this herself when I asked her in the first place!!! Customer service at this location is absolutely not a priority.

Safeway is CONSISTENTLY 25-50% more expensive on most items, across the board. This company should be ashamed of itself. Avoid at all costs, or pay way more than you need to for BASIC SURVIVAL NEEDS. Evil empire. They should be ashamed of themselves.

The security team at this location acts like they are running security for the Pentagon. They regularly harass people leaving the store and are inconsistent with their “check out” system when leaving. It’s obvious that they profile customers in order to decide who they check. I have personally witnessed security at this location escalate situations that don’t require any escalation and they are creating a hostile environment and unsafe shopping experience for other customers on a regular basis. I’d suggest going to the QFC down the street (they usually have lower prices anyway). I’ll also note that I called to leave this feedback directly and the manager argued with me and told me (in short) that despite other customers feeling unsafe, they feel their loss prevention efforts are worth the hassle.
