"At this Western Union location, our Safeway employees will REFUSE to provide the following services: Cash Money Transfer, Payments, Money Order, Pay for a Money Transfer, Pick Up Cash, Quick Collect, Pre Paid Card Services, Convenience Pay, Mobile Money Transfer, Pay for a Money Transfer, Pick Up Cash. We look forward to being rude, unhelpful, and condescending, while making a show of serving you." is what the description should read!
Went into Safeway money services as shown through Western Union in order to get cash off my card. This is something I have done at multiple other grocery store Western Union locations, Fred Meyer, QFC and yes, even Safeway locations. Here the lady at guest services was very rude "We're not an ATM." I'm not sure she knows exactly what money services is, seeing as she refused to do anything Western Union specifies they can do in their own description ("At this Western Union location, we provide the following services: Cash Money Transfer, Payments, Money Order, Pay for a Money Transfer, Pick Up Cash, Quick Collect, Pre Paid Card Services, Convenience Pay, Mobile Money Transfer, Pay for a Money Transfer, Pick Up Cash. We look forward to serving you.), but someone should let her know if she truly has worked here for 20 years ("I've worked here for 20 years and we don't do that") and cant service customers yet! At the very least remove this listing from Google maps so no one else looking for money services has to deal with your condescending employees.

This place completely lacks proper management, accountability and empathy, this poor woman in front of us using a coupon for food was treated like she was a criminal because they didn’t know how to properly do something in their system. Two managers later finally got figured out after the poor girl was almost in tears. Made me sick to see her treated like that. Embarrassing for Safeway.

I usually stop by here during the work week around 10am because it's convenient and empty and a lovely experience. I accidentally stopped by at 4ish and it was very busy with teenagers/homeless/retirees all shambling slowly around and making shopping difficult.
But the clincher (and motivation for the 1 star) is the lack of a public bathroom! Come on Safeway, this makes shopping with a younger child quite challenging. No wonder the parking area smells like pee!
