We usually go to Outback once a month or so. This trip was terrible. The server was nice enough. We got our appetizer and drinks, then salads. But 25 minutes after we finished the salads we still hadn't got our entrees. "Apparently " the printer ran out of paper, so our order never printed even when the paper was replaced. Seems like an excuse, because all printers I've used hold print jobs in cue until the paper is replaced. The manager gave us like a $20 discount. Then they are in a remodel and only one bathroom is available, there was a line of people and kids doing the peepee dance waiting. One more experience like that and I'll have to find a new steakhouse.

Outback is nice, the staff were great and the drink I had was good. The restaurant is well kept and it looked like people were happy with their food. The bad side is I've consistently had overcooked meats. This last time the salmon was overcooked, my wife ordered medium-well steak and she got well done. The last time I went I ordered medium steak and got bleeding rare and then I had them re-fire it to medium well, expecting it to come back medium, but it came back more than well done. They need to put more effort into cooking the meat properly, especially when they're cooking salmon for people that live in the PNW. The food is good, nicely seasoned, but sometimes the meat is too dry. I'm giving it a 3 because the meat brings down the my planned rating, otherwise it would be a nice 4-star meal.

The "Prime" rib was no one's idea of Prime. The toughest cut of beef I've ever had in an Outback. Their idea of a steak knife was duller than my sense of humor. The supposed prime rib was stringy & Tough. Wouldn't cut with the dull knife. It just sort of tore aoart. Very sad & disappointing. As to the service. When my drink is empty & the waitress asks if there's anything I need ... This tells me I'm truly being ignored as a customer. Absolutely worst outback experience of my life.

I ate here with my daughter this evening, it was our first time. We sat and it took a bit for our server to greet us. No issue there though she did have like 4 other tables. Once she greet us she walked up, didn't introduce herself and just said "what do you want to drink" so we told her and then asked if we wanted appetizers and I told her no and she just walked away before I could ask to start with a salad. So that was frustrating. I ended getting the 3 course deal they had (x2) when they were dropped off I had ordered my steak medium rare, it came out medium/medium wellish. My daughters was fine though, there was no check back to make sure everything was okay, my daughter and I ended up waiting til our food was lukewarm to eat because we wanted a1 sauce, she didn't even eat her fries because by the time we were able to eat our dinner they were cold and our server was not attentive at all. I ended up havjng to raise my voice and say excuse me to get her attention... At that point I was just annoyed I wanted our cheesecake and the server tried to push us to have it to go and was annoyed that we didn't. We got our cheesecake and half way through mine I discovered a long short piece of hair!!! I had already closed out my bill and my server was nowhere to be seen I sat and I waited for somebody to walk by so I could grab them and it never happened. I left a note with my bill saying id call the manager tomorrow to discuss this.

I met my family here for dinner and had previously stopped by Starbucks on the way so when I walked in, I still had about a fourth of my drink left. The hostess sat me down with my family and then the waitress came over to refill drinks and to take my drink order. The waitress asked what I would like to drink and I told her water and that is when she told me that outside beverages were not allowed. She then replied that there is a sign stating this up front. I didn't see the sign so that's on me but I also mentioned to her that the hostess saw me with my drink and didn't say anything and proceeded to sit me down with my family. I also asked the waitress if she wanted me to leave with my Starbucks and she replied no but that she was just letting me know that outside drinks were not allowed. Then she gave me a story about how someone came in with what they thought was an innocent drink and it turned out to be alcohol and blah blah blah. She was giving conflicting information. I would have been totally fine drinking the rest of it outside and then coming in but the fact that she said I didn't have to leave but also still letting me know outside drinks weren't allowed was just confusing. Why state the rule if you are not planning on enforcing it? So since the waitress said I didn't have to leave, I proceeded to sit there with my drink and browse the menu so I could choose what I wanted to order. My husband had already ordered appetizers and when it came time for the waitress to bring the appetizers and to take our order, she stopped and asked if we were staying. I replied and asked what she meant by that and she said ,"well your drink is still here." I reminded the waitress of what she had previously said about me not having to leave. Then, she went and got her manager and took our appetizers with her! The manager came over and I explained to him what was going on and he actually apologized for her behavior and got us a new waitress. He didn't even mention the no outside beverage rule. He just kept apologizing for the incident and then actually offered to throw away, at that point, my empty Starbucks cup. This waitress was extremely petty and had a power struggle going on to the point where she wouldn't even give us the appetizers that we ordered because I had a Starbucks drink sitting on the table. I personally feel like she copped an attitude as soon as she asked what I wanted to drink and I told her water. At that point is when she began nagging me about the Starbucks drink. We ordered over $100 worth of food and she was the one that missed out on her tip because she could not get over the fact that I brought in a Starbucks drink. Meanwhile, the manager could care less. It's not like I walked in with a bunch of food from another restaurant, sat down and didn't order anything from outback. I was finishing up a drink and ordered a meal plus appetizers! We are spending our hard-earned money at this restaurant and deserve respectful service.
