  I'm an organ transplant recipient and cancer patient. Food safety is very important to me. Today I went through the drive through and asked for the order to be made fresh. Employee taking my order refused the request because he claimed "everything is made to order once you enter the drive thru line" which is factually incorrect. I had to ask again at the pick up window to have the order made fresh. Jairo the GM gave me attitude and directed me to wait in a parking stall for "5 minutes". 15 minutes later I get my food and drive 2 minutes home. The biscuit sandwich on the bacon/egg/cheese sandwich was rock hard. I drive back to the McDonald's and walk into the lobby and ask for the manager. Esmerelda says she's the manager. I calmly ask her to explain to me how I got a rock hard biscuit when I waited 15 minutes for fresh food. Immediate attitude from Esmerelda. Then Jairo comes up. The next 3 minutes is both of them claiming 1) my order was made fresh 2) the biscuit is supposed to be rock hard when it's made fresh. Yes, you read that right. I had to triple clarify that they were in fact saying what they were saying. They say that when a biscuit is made fresh it is supposed to be hard. I explain to them that I've eaten this item hundreds of times at locations all over the country and a fresh order is not a hard biscuit. Esmerelda starts getting aggressive, raising her voice, yelling at me in the lobby, and told me not to come back to this location. I look obey to Jairo and tell him that I am calmly explaining my issue and that Esmerelda should not be yelling at customers. Jairo tells Esmerelda to go away and she sulters off about 5 feet and is standing there seething with anger, shaking her head and rolling her eyes. I finally get a refund and leave. Esmerelda has no business being in leadership. I am simply trying to eat safe food. That does not warrant being yelled at, demeaned, and told not to come back. Jairo doesn't care at all and swears that a fresh biscuit is supposed to be rock hard. According to McDonald’s own quality standards and official descriptions, their biscuits are intended to be "warm, flaky, and buttery," not hard or crunchy. He deflected with this nonsense fairy tale that biscuits are supposed to be hard, because he's an ineffective leader and does not care about his store.

  Local here. Without exaggerating, every time I come here I end up throwing out at least one item due to it being inedible. Every single time - no hyperbole. This has been true throughout the years regardless of who manages it. Not a single person employed here takes pride in what they do. Which is a shame because this has potential to be one of the coolest & most unique McDonald's in the world. It needs new ownership. This is my last resort in town for food, and should be for you too. (Listen to locals)
