- RRReanaaDec 28, 20251.0Went in to get a plant. Most of the plants were dead or dying. They had about 20 completely dead orchids they were selling. I'm an orchid breeder and have about 100 at any given time and it always hurts me to see stores let their plants die because they can't bother watering them. I spoke to the florist and she agreed they were dead but apparently is still selling them for 23 bucks. I told her the living ones might be saved if she watered them and she told me they only need to be watered once a month which is absurd. And then she said they were just sensitive and hard to care for which is why they were all dead...also absurd. Those types of orchids are easy to care for. It's laziness, and a complete lack of care for the plants or the customers buying them who don't know better.

Overall it's a standard Safeway, expect the usual Safeway experience here. However I will say that the extra gas station next to the main building is a nice addition to the area.
