  I was really looking forward to some peri peri on New Year’s Eve, but unfortunately it was a disappointment. We ordered a whole mild chicken, and it was very hard to eat because it was dry, burnt, and had a bitter taste. We ended up eating leftovers from previous night instead because the chicken was just too bitter. The sides, however, were great.

  We really loved The Port of Peri Peri. We’ve always enjoyed Nando’s in Canada, but this place was even better. The chicken was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and perfectly spiced, honestly some of the best peri-peri chicken we’ve had. The sides were just as impressive: the corn and salads were fresh, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the chicken. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food, not just the sauces. We were also pleasantly surprised by the drinks, the spiced coffee and tea were unique and comforting, adding a really nice touch to the overall experience.

  I recently visited Port of Peri Peri, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The chicken leg quarters we were served were significantly smaller than expected—almost half the usual size—which really affected both the quality and value of the meal. If this continues, it may lead to customers losing trust in the restaurant. I hope management looks into this and maintains consistent quality and quantity going forward.

  ovely Family Dinner at The Port of Peri Peri My husband, my toddler, and I had a wonderful dinner at The Port of Peri Peri. The food was excellent — the chicken was especially delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. They treated us with genuine hospitality and made our little family feel comfortable and appreciated. It was a great place for a family meal, and we’ll definitely be coming back again.

  Edit: Owners reply really summed it up. Online orders will take priority over in-person with ZERO communication on wait times. They realized it was taking a long time themselves as admitted in their reply. No free drink was offered not that it would have mattered. Their pricing is significantly higher than the area, not sure who they're fooling with that explanation. Anyway, good luck with the online orders.... Summary: Only come here if you have ample time to wait and money to burn. Shame because the food was pretty good. Wait: 30 minute wait for 2 burgers and a Mac n Cheese. Price: The small burger was $17 (à la carte) and Mac was $8. Pretty high given the portions and you can expect a burger/fries/drink to run close to $30. Food: Pretty good but not worth the price. Closing thoughts: Table next to me had their order messed up but they decided to deal with it. Probably why the place was empty, people don't want to wait for a replacement.
