This restaurant was a recommendation from a friend, so we were excited to try for the first time! The place was empty and that was a concern for me. We ordered their pineapple fajita, which was a suggestion from our friend. We also ordered a ceviche, and a mojarra frita, which is my daughter’s favorite Mexican dish. They first served us a small cup of soup, which I personally didn’t care for it and could not figure out what was in it. Then the meal came, except that they never added the rice and beans to my daughter’s dish, until I had to ask. Not good, specially when the restaurant is empty. The pineapple fajita was awful. It was probably the worst fajita I had in a long time. They seem to serve a very cheap quality beef, which was cut in big chunks, and it was definitely the toughest chunk of meat I ever ate. Even trying to cut with a knife was a challenge. The chicken didn’t taste fresh either. Even my husband who is a bit more forgiving when trying new places didn’t like the pineapple fajita, which they charge R$35.00 dollars for it. My daughter’s mojarra frita was bland, lacking in flavor and her rice and beans came too late after she was already a bit disappointed with the dish. Her ceviche, which is another of her favorite Mexican dishes, did not have the familiar flavors she normally enjoys on a ceviche, and it was a big mess to eat! In the end, we left the restaurant hungry, and had to stop at a Taco Bell place to make sure we were not heading back home still hungry! So, I cannot say that I would be able to recommend this place. We live in Mapleton and have tried to find good Mexican places to eat closer to home, but this restaurant didn’t make it to the list!
