  Food was okay as usual , I’ve been coming here for Acouple of years now and today when I went in the waitress who served me and my partner told us that she couldn’t make drinks today and I was okay with that but soon after another client came in and went to the bar and ordered a drink and she made him a drink. I do not like that and felt very discriminated against, and this is one of my favorite places to go.

  We had super high hopes and expectations for this restaurant considering the reviews and ratings that it has. Truthfully, we were disappointed with the overall food though. Let me start off by saying, it is a cute little place. We went during a down time so no one else was in the restaurant except for a couple that came in after we ordered. Waitress was super nice so service was good, no complaints. We ordered a bunch of different tacos to try and here is what we thought of everything. Let me also say, I am a rather good cook at home, I cook daily and understand flavors and complexities of food pretty well. We got the Birria tacos, a shrimp taco, pork belly taco, chicken taco, al pastor, carnitas and steak. We also got a horchata and a Mexican coke. Let me say, the horchata was the best horchata we have ever had. Solid 10/10. Delicious, creamy and flavorful. Birria taco was a solid 7.5, good flavor, but consistency was thin, consommé could have been thicker, more seasoned. My favorite taco was between the Al pastor and chicken. Al pastor was a solid 8.5, chicken taco was probably the best one. Appearance wasn’t great but the flavor in the chicken was amazing. Pork belly taco was great although a few of the pieces was just fat, no meat. Shrimp taco was hot and cheesy but lacked a ton of flavor, no salt. Carnitas taco was not good at all. Literally tasted like nothing and looked questionable. The lowest rated item of the day though was the asada taco. It literally looked like boiled steak. No flavor at all, questionable looking meat. The free beans they give you if you ask are 10/10 though. Best Mexican beans I’ve had in a while. Overall, we wouldn’t go back. We would only go back for the horchata. It all came out to $62 also including an 18% tip. So pricey also for not that great of tacos overall.

  The owner is very kind and friendly. Our server was great and attentive. My margarita was top tier. I've never had fruit soaked in tequila but it came with my margarita and it was pretty nice touch. Definitely would come back for the margarita.

  My family and I have been coming to Taco Patron since they opened. I remember there was a feud on Nextdoor about the place and we all stood up for them said the prices were worth it due to the quality of the food and the hospitality. I am very disappointed however. Last week we put an order in on the website. When I got there for some reason it didn’t go through to the kitchen so the lady had to call the owner and get my order. No problem, things happen! However the lady behind the bar and dealing with my order was not very pleasant at all. Acting as if it was my fault my order did not go through. It was odd. I also ordered a pina colada. She gave me pineapple juice on ice with coconut cream on the rim? When I got home - our order was awful. The birria was smaller than usual. I loved them because of their hefty tacos! They were very slim. My son’s quesadilla had no meat. We also were only given one container of rice and it was half filled? Just a bummer and unsure if we will be back. Very upset about this experience.
