Not the best Mexican food I’ve had but good for its price, I had the sample plate so I could try multiple things. Margaritas are amazing, HUGE size for cheap during happy hour 😛

I am literally sitting in the restaurant right now. We have been waiting for over 20 minutes for someone to collect our payment. The food that we received (salsa, chips, and queso plus one drink each) was good, but long after we ran out of chips and our beverages, no one ever came back to check on us, replenish, or take our dinner orders. Additionally, a door dash driver was stuck at the end of the bar for over twenty minutes loudly complaining directly to us that the burrito she was here to pick up was not ready. Add to this the terrible music and slightly too warm room, and we just decided to leave. Unfortunately it was not so easy as no one noticed us waving them down for our check or took our card once we placed it on the bar. Pray for us that we see daylight again soon.

Tacos Al Carbon Excellent My wifes chicken was hard like leather This place should have lines out the door. This is not the On The Border it once was. If COVID-19 changed it, CHANGE it back! There are no good restaurants like this in Fayetteville with this potential. The local ones are cheap knock off restaurants of Mexican Food. On The Border is supposed to be the real deal, yet missing the mark. The employees don't seem happy, but doing their best. The Manager, she was active all over she was attentive, and we did speak with her. Our last trip here was worse. It has gotten a bit better. The only reason we came was all the better restaurants were FULL on mother's day. This business should be FULL daily. I can only assume server's are suffering financially from lack of customers. While here one customer was complaining they removed the one food item from the menu that kept him coming. Sad, he's not coming back. I would love to see this restaurants success! Sorry I can only give a three stars at this point. The manager did state Pappa's restaurants have purchased On The Border. In Texas there is Pappasitas and One The Border The best. Glad to see the improvement! Glad to see the desire to keep this moving forward!

I drove from Mebane because there are only two locations in NC: Fayetteville and Charlotte. OTB is my favorite restaurant and this experience was disappointing. I ordered what I have ordered hundreds of times...steak and chicken fajitas. I specifically stated twice NO SOUR CREAM AND NO GUACAMOLE! Of course, I got sour cream and guacamole. My steak was undercooked. It's as if they expected me to cook it at home since I got it to go.

There were several things. We asked for a taco salad with no jalapenos. However, I got half way through my salad explaining to my partner that it was super spicy. My mouth was on fire. But there was nothing I could find. However my whole salad had tiny cut up jalapenos throughout. I couldn't finish it and I felt extremely sick due to my acid issues. My partner had the fish tacos with black beans with cilantro rice. The fish was overcooked, greasy, with no seasoning. The fry on it was soggy. Instead of cabbage it was a form of a coleslaw that should have never been on a fish taco. The black beans were fine but they put barely a pinch of a shredded cheese that wasn't melted. The cilantro rice was also crunchy and undercooked with no seasoning. We've never experienced anything like this here. My child's taco meal was super spicy for unknown reasons and they could barely get through it. We can handle spice, but not like this. This was unbearable. The menu has decreased significantly and so did the quality. It took over 40 minutes to get the food but there was less than three customers including us in the restaurant. Unfortunately we will not be coming back.
