The Improper Pig isn’t your average BBQ joint. Here, we blend the smoky
traditions of American BBQ (from the Carolinas to St. Louis) with the rich vibrancy of Asian cuisine.
The result? Savory, tangy, spicy, tender, mouthwatering dishes that bring the heat and pack a flavor punch. Led by two culinary mavericks set on exploring the best flame-cooked fare from around the world, we’ve been a Charlotte-area staple since 2014. Now, ten years and two locations later, we’re still rubbing butts and getting saucy in the heart of North Carolina.
Don’t worry–we’re family-friendly! The “improper” in our name speaks to
the fact that we don’t always play by the rules of traditional, American BBQ.
