- EJEric JMay 11, 20263.0I’m not sure what’s going on with the Tavares location next to Publix on SR19. The food has always been good, but the service has dropped off precipitously in the last year. I tried calling my order in over the phone on a Monday night (normally not busy, but maybe this night was different). The young lady that answered the phone put me on hold for 13 minutes before I hung up. When I tried calling back in, no one answered. I arrived at the restaurant and, as I’m walking up, noticed the place was almost empty. For laughs, I called again to see what the young lady sitting behind the desk would do. She let the phone ring and ring and ring because she was doom scrolling on her phone and obviously couldn’t be bothered. My wife and I eat here (or did) at least twice a week. I’ll be taking my business to a restaurant that wants it. Eating right next door! Let’s see how long it takes before San Jose notices their regulars are leaving.

My company had ordered lunch, whomever was at the front( ANA), the other girl had long black curly hair behind the bar- when we went to grab our food, she was EXTREMELY rude and NOT welcoming at all. She would not accommodate the ridiculous price for the to go drinks, we wanted to take just 2 since the size was NOT specified over the phone. She told us NO since they were already made.( WHICH MIND YOU ARE PURE SUGAR. ) One of our quesadillas meals, the rice WAS NOT FULLY COOKED AND GAVE US GREEN BELL PEPPERS INSTEAD OF JALAPENOS. How do you confuse the two?!!! Honestly the entire meal was disgusting. I would NOT recommend this location till someone acts right and makes the customers feel welcome for coming into their establishment. RESTAFF.
