“A little piece of our homeland” is how Don Pancho describes Palenque Grill®, the Ochoa family’s latest venture. It began in 2005 in Laredo, Texas, after Don Pancho’s long journey in the restaurant business. In 1975, he started with El Pollo Loco® in his hometown of Guasave, Mexico. The chain expanded across Mexico and then to the U.S., with Brad Pitt once handing out flyers. In 1987, he created Taco Palenque®, a successful Mexican fast casual chain. Don Pancho’s dream was always to open a full-service restaurant with live music, which he achieved with Palenque Grill® alongside his son Carlos in 2005. The Ochoa family plays a key role in the restaurant’s success, with family recipes on the menu. Palenque Grill® offers 100% Mexican food, featuring the flavors of Mexico’s North Pacific Coast, including Sinaloa, Sonora, and Baja California.
