Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Look I know I showed up yesterday at 2:20am and I completely get that it’s hard to work that late but….. I got a honey butter chicken biscuit and then you guys forget to add the honey butter. I was heartbroken :(

I don't mind this Whataburger at all. It never takes too long to order and receive our food however I don't like how we need a code to simply use the restroom and when an employee did put the code, it did not give me enough time to open the door thus resulting in me having to get that same employee to put it again and I also don't mind people with special needs working in places like stores however this special needs employee kept opening the front door, spitting outside right at the entrance and staring at random people for long periods of time and when I walked away this recently to get something at the fountain machine, this employee was loitering around my table and appeared to mess with something on my table. I was respectful and didn't say anything but people like them should not work in any food related business

Made us wait 25 minutes for a #1 meal, an avocado sandwich and some onion rings. This was at midnight with no foot traffic. Not a sorry or even a complimentary sauce they forgot to give us. Was ignored when I went up to ask about our food after waiting for 16 minutes.

1star - This Store needs Serious Oversight
Pulled up to the drive thru around 3am and was told they were “short staffed” and that we should either wait 10 minutes or come inside instead. At 3am. Apparently the solution to being short staffed is asking customers to walk into the building in the middle of the night.
After 4-5 minutes we started ordering, to which multiple employees kept swapping on and off the headset. The attitude somehow stayed consistent though. Both people sounded irritated that we were even there, despite the fact that we were literally the only customer in the entire restaurant.
Trying to place a simple order became an ordeal. Every time we had to correct the order repeated back to us, the person taking the order would pause..silent, "huh? [Wrong order confirmation]
Cue this dance about 4 or 5 times on repeat.
After finally reaching the window, paid nearly $30 for two meals, we were immediately told to pull forward away from the window. When we asked why because there wasnt a single other car in line, the employee sighed dramatically and threw her hands up like we had just asked for a chore instead of an explanation. "Because... Ugh. You know what - nevermind!"
Another employee then came to the window and sternly told us we needed to pull forward because they were “behind” and needed to lower their service time and immediately closes the window.
Behind… on what exactly? We were the only customers there and it had been 12 minutes by this point. It only takes 3 minutes to cook the food.
To make things even more concerning, they then sent the female employee out of the building at 3am to deal with the situation and drop off our order, instead of handling it safely from the drive thru window. That’s not just poor service, that’s questionable judgment from a safety standpoint.
This kind of experience is exactly why people are losing patience with eating out and dont want to tip. Customers are paying more than ever and being treated like an inconvenience.
Also, Whataburger used to emphasize safety and customer experience. Telling people to walk into the building at 3am and sending employees out into a dark parking lot doesn’t exactly reflect that.
Corporate might want to take a closer look at how this location is being run, because right now it feels like the standards that once made the brand successful have completely disappeared.
Thank you for the half slice of cheese. .

S/O to the night crew. Just left whatavurger each young man spoke with respect, and handled each customer with care. That's rare these days yet so important for many reasons. My food is always hot when I swing by for a quick bite on the go. I don't mind if I have to wait because I know we’ll receive hot food.
