Working in fast food requires teamwork, respect, and attention to detail, yet my recent experience at McDonald’s showed a complete lack of all three. During my visit, I witnessed an employee openly disrespecting one of their own coworkers while also handling my order carelessly. The combination of unprofessional behavior and poor service made the experience frustrating and disappointing.
While waiting for my food, I saw one McDonald’s employee speaking harshly to another worker in front of customers. The tone was rude and dismissive, as if the coworker’s efforts did not matter. This kind of behavior creates an uncomfortable environment not only for employees but also for customers. A workplace should be built on respect, especially in a fast-paced setting where cooperation is essential. Seeing one worker belittle another made it clear that professionalism was not being taken seriously.
On top of that, my order was completely messed up. Items were missing, and some of the food I received was not what I had ordered at all. This showed a lack of care and attention, which is unacceptable when customers are paying for a service. Accuracy is one of the most basic expectations in any restaurant, and failing at this makes customers feel ignored.
To make matters worse, the food was not even bagged properly. The bag was left open, with items loosely placed inside, making it messy and inconvenient to carry. Proper packaging is important to keep food clean and presentable, and this simple task was not done correctly. It felt rushed and careless, as if the employee just wanted to get the order out without concern for quality.
Overall, the experience at McDonald’s was disappointing due to both the disrespectful behavior toward a coworker and the careless handling of my order. Employees should treat each other with respect and take pride in their work, as both directly affect customer satisfaction. This experience showed how poor attitude and lack of effort can ruin what should have been a simple and positive visit.

A manager at McDonald’s was rude to one of the employees, even though they all work for the same McDonald’s company and should treat each other with respect. Instead of speaking calmly and professionally, the manager used a harsh tone and talked down to the employee in front of others. This behavior made the employee feel uncomfortable and disrespected, which can hurt teamwork and morale. Since managers are supposed to set a good example, being rude goes against the values of cooperation and fairness that a workplace should have. Everyone at McDonald’s, no matter their position, deserves to be treated kindly and respectfully. Also the food was just thrown into the bag like they didn’t even try wrapping it up

This is hands down the WORST McDonald's in Laredo. This is not just some emotionally fueled negative review after one incident, I have been going to this McDonald's for years and have noticed a drastic decline around 5 years ago and felt obligated to share this review. I've never felt compelled to write a negative review for any restaurant until the countless experiences with my neighborhood McDonald's. All of these issues are concerning the drive-thru specifically.
- The NUMBER ONE issue is that you will NEVER be in and out of the drive thru at this location. Every single time, you are going to be asked to drive to one of the numbered parking spots and wait a minimum of 10 minutes or so for your order. It's never as simple as drive up to the drive thru to order, move to window 1 to pay, and then move to window 2 to get your order in a timely manner to then be on your merry way. I can't recall the last time I've pulled in and out of the drive-thru in less than 5 minutes.
- They will almost always forget to put sauces in your order even if you explicitly state which sauce and how many you want. I've gone so far as to repeat that I would like _____ amount of _____ sauce just to open my bag at home and see there isn't a single one. The worst part is you get charged for extra sauces just to not have them included.
- The food is often cold and stale which is something I've been noticing particularly when you order in the evening hours. I don't know why that is but it's disgusting to say the least. I've had to put so many of my orders in my air fryer just to make it feel and taste fresh. This is after me going home immediately after getting my order which is only a 2 minute drive home.
- There is a time in the day where they only accept cash at the drive-thru and it would seem to be pretty prime evening hours (around 9 p.m. onward). It's extremely annoying to get up and go to the restaurant just to be told that card is not being accepted at the time. It essentialy forces you to go to another McDonald's location which would either be Jacaman or the Del Mar Shopping Plaza location (The best McDonald's in Laredo IMO).
- In general, there is a good chance that they will forget something in your order. Before you leave, I HIGHLY recommend checking the bag to make sure everything you requested is in there.
In conclusion, I would not recommend this location to anyone. If this is your neighborhood McDonald's, I would highly recommend you just go to the Del Mar Shopping Plaza location because you will be in and out of that drive-thru in 2-3 minutes and your order will be *correct*.

We love the food here and have always enjoyed dining at your restaurant. However, during our recent visit there was a dog inside the dining area, sitting at a table. While we have nothing against dogs, we felt this was inappropriate in a place where food is served—especially since it was clearly not a service animal.
My children have allergies to cats and dogs, and the presence of pets indoors creates a health and safety concern for families like ours. We hope this can be addressed, as we truly enjoy your food and would like to continue dining here comfortably.
