    1) The service is really slow. The woman who was ringing up orders had no urgency in her movements. The counter serve system at the bar is really frustrating when you’re just looking to ring in a quick food order and the people ahead of you are getting two complicated cocktails made and the bartenders is asking a bunch of follow up questions. This place needs a system to segregate the needs of fussy and unfussy customers. 2) I ordered the Malaysian Curry Chicken Rice bowl and it tasted good however the portion size was really disappointing, I could have easily eaten two of those bowls, were it not $15 each. People who remember this restaurant well from their visit a while ago should know that shrinkflation has struck this joint as well. I would much rather they man up and charge $19 but deliver a meal that actually fills you up. We went to Raising Cain’s after this to finish our dinner.

Go for happy hour thier frozen drinks are that good. I wish I explored the menu more but can't help but always order the salmon rice bowl! Space is pretty, price point is good, and service is excellent.

I recently visited Loro Houston, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The space itself is open, modern, and welcoming — a perfect mix of Texas barbecue charm and Asian-inspired flair. I ordered the sampler and the Thai ribs, and both dishes were outstanding. The sampler was a great way to try a bit of everything — every bite was full of flavor, tender, and perfectly seasoned. You can really taste the creativity behind the menu, blending smoky barbecue with Southeast Asian spices.

I’ve been dying to try Lora Asian Smokehouse for months, so walking in, my expectations were high… unfortunately, the experience fell flat. 😞 First issue: the ordering process. The line was LONG, the cashiers moved so slowly, and they didn’t seem very knowledgeable about the menu. For a place set up as completely self-service—yes, you get your own silverware, water, etc.—you’d think the front end would be more efficient. Nope. ⏳🙄 Food experience: • Corn Fritters: These were not corn fritters. They were flavorless hush puppies. No sweetness and no seasoning… just a bland ball of fried dough. 😐🫤 • Ribs: The ribs were the only highlight. The smokiness was on point, and the BBQ sauce was fantastic. ✅🔥 But they came out cold, which instantly ruined what could have been an amazing dish. • Broccoli: This came out last—after I had finished eating. And let me tell you, I’ve had broccoli prepared a thousand ways, but lemon zest on broccoli? Absolutely not. 🤢🍋🥦 Lemon and broccoli do not go together. Please remove this from the recipe. Overall, between the slow service, the self-serve setup, and the disappointing food (aside from the flavor of the ribs), I have to give Lora Asian Smokehouse 2 stars. Definitely not worth the hype. 😬👎
