Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times and missing items from their orders, indicating a lack of attention to detail and efficiency.
Food Quality
While many customers praised the food for being fresh and tasty, there were complaints about incorrect orders and food not being prepared properly.
Staff Attitude
Customer service experiences varied widely; some employees were noted for their friendliness and efficiency, while others were described as rude and unprofessional.
Cleanliness and Organization
Several reviews mentioned disorganization and cleanliness issues within the restaurant, particularly during busy hours.

The drive through service was slower than normal. Also instead of handheld credit card readers they took our card inside while we waited...in this fraud driven world, prefer to keep our cards close by. Staff friendly, food was Whata-consistent good :)

I waited 15 minutes to have my order taken. Then another 15 minutes to finally to get what I ordered. It was wrong when I got it. Got onion rings instead. One of the worst Whataburger's I have been too. Management needs to be redone.

The food was actually good considering it was fast food. The food was done rather quickly. The manager/cashier was very rude and unprofessional. I would’ve given it five stars if it wasn’t the actual manager that gave poor Customer Service.

After a long (and delayed) flight my son and I arrived at our hotel, the only food available was this or some other fast food places. Nearly an hour later the "food" arrived, cold and soggy. The drinks were severely diluted, the fries nearly frozen. We threw it all out. Thanks for continuing our shitty vacation.

Honestly I didn't give a 1 because the food is good. This has to do with fake advertising. I have no problem paying my meal however today was a day that I couldn't. I sat at Whataburger after ordering a soft drink and noticed that their table tent was advertising free whataburger if one downloaded the app. What one gets is free Onion rings. I am truly grateful to receive these onion rings when I had nothing eat, my heart was set on the Whataburger like advertised. I will still come to Whataburger, especially now that I have started the workforce again. Thanks for the free rings, maybe I'm just really hungry today.
