  If I could give this place negative stars, I would be most disgusting food in Galveston is served here so don’t waste your money and time on this place. I ordered the meatballs that taste like frozen food heated in the oven and brought it out to your table. calamari was so oily that it makes you feel sick. Something has changed about this place not worth coming here..

  We were visiting from Austin and stopped in to watch the Texas game. Our server was very challenging...not friendly..seemed angry and bothered by us. Everything I wanted had cilantro in it and I have a bad allergy...the only good thing was that the manager finally came over and re-made our nachos and he was very kind... we went to a couple of other places after that where the service was outstanding. Just a big disappointment.

  I had the best burger there... the south paw burger was everything. Then they had sweet potato tater tots. That was my first time having those and they were excellent. I don't know how often I'll be going to Galveston but whenever/ if ever I go back, I will be there. The waitress was very nice and attentive, she made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. It would be nice if one of the Brickhouse restaurants in Chicago had that burger.

  Drinks were weak but our server was strong lol plus our food was solid. Jeremy helped us out today, will definitely ask for him next time. As a service industry person myself, I didn’t tell him about our half-poured drinks, if I had I’m sure he would’ve fixed it. Maybe just use jigs or work on the counts if it’s that hard for them to pour. I watched/counted it’s well off. Just be honest. 12/31/25 @ 3:30pm.

  During our vacation, we visited dozens of restaurants in Galveston and Southern Houston. This place so far is by far our favorite. It was one of the only places open on Christmas Eve and we were lucky. We didn’t have to wait very long. Right when we got there, the hostess says we’re so polite and inviting wanted to make sure we got taken care of and we’re happy even though we had a bit of a wait… we got seated quick enough, and Dillon was our server. He was really great because he knew the menu and recommended some things to us that were really popular. Everything he recommended to us was top-notch. Some of the appetizers were absolutely brilliant like the cheese bricks the meatballs and the deviled eggs were amazing. Our table ordered the chili a pasta dish, a burger, and the chicken pot pie. The chili is some of the best I’ve ever had. you have to make sure and get it loaded as Dillon suggested it was amazing! The chicken pot pie is made there fresh every day, and it was unbelievably good so rich and luxurious the flavors were crazy. Good! The pasta was came with meatballs and sauce, which we already knew was good from the appetizer and the burger was huge. It came with sweet potato tater tots, and they were delicious. One of the other highlights was the duck wings they came with the sauce that was amazing. We tried the apple crumble, which of course was hands-down delicious and the big brownie. They were both oversized, desserts and both excellent. This is a place. We will definitely be visiting again before we leave And it’s by far my favorite so far. I would highly recommend anybody who wants really great food and great service at a reasonable price!!!
