  The restaurant is way too dark. I came for dinner, not a haunted house experience. The service was frustrating. I had to remind our server multiple times to bring basic things, including refilling my mashed potatoes and bringing my daughter water, which somehow never happened. What really pushed it over the edge was watching the staff stop everything to do the Hokey Pokey. Twice. Somehow there was time for a full group dance routine, but not enough time to refill a side dish. Priorities felt very off. Overall, the food might be comfort food, but the experience was anything but. Between the poor lighting, forgetful service, and strange focus on dancing instead of customers, I left more annoyed than satisfied.

  We have been to babes a number of times. Been coming for a few years. When people come to visit, or just for a great dinner. we have to come to babes because of the great food, atmosphere and service. Smoked chicken is a staple of mine here— I know the chicken fried steak. Don’t cut me off too soon (Bobby) or if you’ve been here I know it’s the best. Don’t know what it is (where have you been? California?… yeah me too) welcome to Babes get the best. Speaking of Bobby he was great cracking jokes and making all the best recommendations. He knows what he’s doing. Even in cahoots with my father-in-law to convince me to finally try the strawberry short cake. Take a bite of strawberry sugar heaven on a shortcake. The peach cobbler was delicious. Look come to babes with your family surprise them on their birthday with a chicken dance. It’s a must go. If there is a wait it’s worth it.

  Babe's is a classic Texas formula, superior food, simple menu, friendly attentive service, excellent and consistent execution from visit to visit - With one critical exception. All of the protein options from grilled chicken, smoked chicken, tenders, and catfish are exactly as most would expect. The sides are all house recipes, with *unlimited servings* - From stunning potatoes & gravy, and my favorite romano green beans of anywhere ever served, yet definitely don't forget the fresh homemade biscuits. In reality my only complaint is largely subjective - The actual dining area is absurdly loud. I measured an average of 79 decibels on the last visit. Out of our party of 5, 4 of us were physically affected to the extent that it's uncomfortable, unable to hear anyone but the person next to us. They play the music absurdly and unnecessarily loud, which causes everyone else to speak loudly at their tables. This is easily solved by putting music at a reasonable level and investing in sound dampening panels around the dining area - Which can be decorated to suit. In short we love the food, but every time we let ourselves go, the sound issues overshadow the food. I think we've finally learned our lesson and just won't go back anymore.

  If you are in Frisco TX, you need to try out Babe's Chicken Dinner House!! The food is so good. You order your main dish (fried chicken, smoked chicken, chicken strips or catfish) then the server will bring you the sides. Your sides are salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits, corn and green beans. With the side you can order more and the server will bring all you can eat of the sides. They were so good. The servers were great and the atmosphere was fun. You need to read the signs.
