Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This is the worst Whataburger in the entire world. I have lived in this area for 10 years. Every 6-12 months I give them one more try, and every time they mess up my order. Sometimes small, sometimes huge, but it’s messed up every single time.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience at the Friendswood Whataburger was incredibly frustrating. I placed an in-person order on December 23, 2025 at 7:15 PM and didn’t receive my food until over an hour later. By the time it arrived, it was cold and poorly prepared.
The drive-thru line was extremely long, and other customers were honking in frustration. I understand that mistakes happen, but the wait time and quality of service were unacceptable for a fast-food restaurant.
I reached out to Whataburger corporate for assistance, but was told that in-person orders cannot be tracked or refunded through the system, and that I would have to return to the store to request a resolution. I’m a paying customer, and it felt like my concerns were dismissed simply because I didn’t order through the app.
It’s disappointing because I’ve had good experiences at other Whataburger locations, but I won’t be returning here unless they significantly improve their service and handling of in-person orders.

Location sucks. Manager absolutely doesn’t care about if they mess up your food. Waited 25 minutes in line with one other car and my food came out cold AFTER we had to go in and ask where our food is. Also, saw a cook digging in the their butt crack the last time we tried to go in and ask where our late curbside order was. That was the last straw for us🤷🏼♀️ don’t go here.

Placed an online order. Waited over 30 minutes in the parking lot. Had to go in and get it. Ended up with cold burgers and fries. I don’t mind waiting but not for cold fast food.
