We should’ve known to be wary when we pulled into a nearly empty parking lot at 11 AM on a Sunday. But that didn’t stop the service from being extremely slow, with our table’s orders not even coming out together. The biscuits and gravy were lukewarm and so tough I needed a knife just to cut through them. The Huevos Mexicano was just overcooked scrambled eggs with barely sautéed veggies and no meat at all. The side of scrambled eggs was more of the same, and the “hash browns” were just two frozen McDonald’s style patties, not homemade or from scratch. The drip coffee was also lukewarm, and it took forever for them to refill the pot. Overall, the food was below average and way overpriced. Sadly, I would’ve had a better meal at a Denny’s or Waffle House. The place itself is nice and cozy inside, and the people working were friendly. That was the only positive part of this meal. Reply to owners excuse and attempt to insult our taste in food: Let’s be honest, the place wasn’t “busy” by any stretch of the imagination. As I mentioned, the parking lot was nearly empty when we arrived. We are a family in the restaurant industry and know what good food and service look like. We didn’t expect lightning fast timing, but basic breakfast plates shouldn’t take that long to prepare. The Pelican down the street puts your kitchen to shame. Their food comes out hot, timely, and together, not staggered five minutes apart like ours did. My comparison to Denny’s or Waffle House wasn’t meant as a compliment. It was to say your food didn’t even meet that very low bar. The biscuits were tough, the eggs were overcooked and browned on the bottom, and nothing had any care put into it. It tasted like the person cooking it doesn’t even eat their own food. Dropping from 2 stars to 1 based on the owner being unable to take ownership of the poor service and food we received.

The prices dont reflect the quality. I got the lunch special for $16. My turkey and cheese sandwhich had 1 slice of meat and 1 slice of cheese. The potato soup was mash potatoes. And the chips were 4 tortilla chips on the side. Everything on the plates was very bland so make sure to ask for salt and pepper. Weve dined here before the change and thought it would be the same or even better but sadly it left us leaving disappointed.

Just tried the tomato basil soup and cheesesteak. They were both perfect! Service was polite and friendly. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
