For price, experience definitely did not match. Food was okay. I had simple salad - only 3 ingredients on the menu. And then salad came out without one of them. Menu was apparently not updated. Burger came more well done than medium rare. Restaurant was pretty empty - salad and burger took 35 mins to come out. Waitress was barely around. Table next to us stayed un-bussed for the hour that we were here. Didn’t affect us obviously but just shows care of the restaurant. Wouldnt come back. But food was decent

Terrible service. Waited for over 20 minutes to be seated after reserving beforehand. I ordered the albert breakfast from their weekend brunch menu and the picture speaks for itself. I took one bite of the egg and a bite of sausage but hadn’t touched anything else while taking this photo. I got ends of the bread for toast. And it cost me $18. We had our pup with us. We asked if they had a dog bowl. They said yes and would bring it out. Never brought it. Not once did they stop at our table again. The only good thing about this place was the bartender who took our order. Not sure why he was waiting tables, but he did an incredible job.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant. Our final bill was $683, but they charged my credit card $792. I’m currently disputing the charge with my credit card company (thankfully I took a photo of the receipt). This experience was incredibly disappointing and feels dishonest — definitely not worth your time or money.

This is my 4th visit to the Albert, 1st for lunch. I was looking forward to seeing if things (attitude of servers, service, timeliness, quality, etc.) had improved since my last visit. When we were seated at about 12:00, there was no one at the bar and one other table at the outdoor area. I loved the fact they had a limited lunch menu. My thought with a limited menu is that what they offer will be well executed. Everything offered sounded promising, but the 4 of us all decided to go with the Puffed Quinoa Salad with Chicken. When we ordered, our waitress asked if we wanted to add any protein, like chicken to the salad. My friend replied that the menu stated that chicken was a part of the salad. The waitress responded, “Oh, I have never had it so I didn’t know”. When the salads did arrive, they looked lovely, but we moved the greens around looking for the much anticipated Puffed Quinoa…not to be found. The waitress did not return to the table for a bit, so I went in to the restaurant/bar to inquire. The “assistance” I received from the bartender is for another review, another day. A bit later, a manager came out and told us that, although they were working to update the menu, there was no Puffed Quinoa in the Puffed Quinoa Salad, but was there something else he could do to “elevate” our salad experience. We just all simply looked at him. He did tell us he was going to give us a 10% discount (seriously) on our Puffed Quinoa Salads and we were to rest assured, they were working on updating the menu. I could go on, but suffice it to say, The Albert has yet to hit their stride. As a local, who often gets asked where to go in town, I continue to not be able to recommend anything at The Albert.

PRICE AND QUALITY DO NOT MATCH! Disappointing experience at The Albert Restaurant. High prices for mediocre service, food, and atmosphere. NOT AN UPSCALE PLACE! I booked a table to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Our reservation was late in the evening, and in Fredericksburg most places close early on Sundays. We arrived on time and placed our order. Ten minutes later, the server returned to inform us they were out of the ribeye steak. My husband chose another dish. Despite the fact that the kitchen was about to close, the server didn’t place the new order right away — instead, she went on to chat with other tables. While waiting for the main course, we received our Brussels sprouts, which tasted awful. We ended up canceling the entire order. The manager comped two drinks and the sprouts, but my husband’s birthday dinner was completely ruined and other places were already closed!
