The food was absolutely incredible. My party did the omakase, which was phenomenal. Every course was uniquely delicious, and the flavors flowed well from one plate to the next.
It goes without saying that this was quite a pricey meal. But as far as omakase goes, it wasn't outrageous ($310 for two before tax/tip/drinks etc). And, strangely, you need a minimum of two people in your party to order it. So, you're out of luck if the rest of your group doesn't want to get the omakase or if you're alone. It should go without saying, but restaurant shouldn't exclude those who want/need to dine alone from their specialty. I can't stand when restaurants offer meals that can't accommodate singular guests; it's just lazy planning on their part.
Two downsides that I'd like to note were the atmosphere and service. For a restaurant that comes with such a hefty price tag, the decor was pretty underwhelming and it lacked the typical fine dining ambiance. For some that may be a plus, but when you're charging a minimum ~$160 per person, it would be nice to see a bit more effort put into giving guests an elevated experience. The dining room was also extremely loud. What frustrated me about the service was that our courses were delivered pretty haphazardly. Rather than having one dedicated server, they instead had 5 or so different servers deliver our courses at random. Also, half of the time, the course was not explained so we legitimately had no idea what we were eating sometimes.
All of that said, I would still highly recommend giving it a try - the food is just THAT good.

BE AWARE: I am still in shock over what happened during my visit. I had a reservation on Jan 1st at 5:45 PM and trusted the valet service with my car. When my vehicle was brought back to me, my window had been completely smashed, with glass everywhere—covering my seat and inside of my car.
What made this even worse was the way it was handled. One employee briefly apologized, filled out a form, and casually told me to send in an invoice for the damage, as if this was something that happens all the time. No urgency, no concern. On top of that, my belongings—hidden under the seat—had been stolen from my vehicle.
Despite all of this, I was still expected to pay for valet service. No one offered help, no one offered a bag or anything to clean up the broken glass, and not even the manager had the decency to come out and speak with me. I was left standing there feeling ignored, upset, and disappointed. The lack of compassion and professionalism was embarrassing. You never expect your car to be broken into at what is supposed to be one of the nicest restaurants in Uptown. This experience was beyond disappointing.

We weren’t sure if we wanted to do the tasting menu, but our server Brendan completely elevated our meal. After just telling him a few things we like, he crafted an entire experience for us and it was spot on. Every dish was thoughtful, delicious, and perfect from start to finish.
Brendan was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. You could tell he genuinely wanted us to have a great time, and he delivered.
10/10 no misses. Highly recommend!

we told the waitress that we don’t eat pork and alcohol and that we eat halal meat. she informed us that all the beef was halal, and every time a meal came they would clarify that there was no pork or alcohols, which was really reassuring. the food was excellent and unique and was worth the price. the desserts were excellent, especially the cereal and milk and cheesecake. the waitress even ordered a free dessert for us. very friendly vibe and nice atmosphere. would definitely return

Warning to vegetarians:
I’ve been vegetarian for over six years—no exceptions, for ethical reasons. My friends and I chose this restaurant specifically because it advertises a separate vegetarian menu. I was given that menu, ordered directly from it while pointing to the items, and was seated right next to the waitress.
I ordered two rolls. My rolls took significantly longer than my friends’ rolls so I was starving and devoured the first. When the second came, I took one bite and immediately realized it had shrimp in it. Long story long-ish, both of my rolls were entered in from the regular menu.
The vegetarian rolls and non-veggie rolls have the same names. To be frank, you have to be pretty stupid to not see the issue.
This isn’t a minor mistake. This is a fundamental failure in menu design, staff training, and basic respect for dietary restrictions. Vegetarians don’t just “pick meat off.” Some of us take this seriously, and this restaurant clearly does not.
If you’re vegetarian—or have any dietary restriction whatsoever—do not trust this place. They cannot keep their own menus straight, and they absolutely cannot be trusted with what they serve you.
I left hungry, upset, and completely disgusted.
