  Ocean Prime was truly a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We made reservations here when we were in town for a concert. We ordered drinks and the drink that I had was very refreshing. I ordered the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, and that was delicious as well. We had lamb and tuna tare paired with the perfect amount of asparagus. Every plate was flavorful and delicious. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming here again when I am in the area.

  Have had 2 bad experiences here now, gave it a chance last week but was very disappointed. Had to wait for anyone to approach the table, ordered a glass of wine, they put an empty glass on the table then after 10-15 minutes I had to go look for the server. Apparently they were in a pre shift meeting, I guess customer service does not matter at that time. Took another 10-15 minutes for the server to show back up to take order. Food was good but WAY over priced for an average steak. Charges for everything that came to the table, bread, water etc. The topper was the 20% gratuity added. I will make an exception for average food, but to make me pay a 20% tip on POOR service is unacceptable. The service and atmosphere make the dinning experience worth paying for. It was not just slow but unprofessional. The servers are not trained in dining etiquette, they serve food and drinks from both sides, pull from both sides. Leave plates and half empty glasses. They need serious improvements.

  WE WILL NOT BE BACK. We have been to Ocean Prime on several occasions and always had a great experience but the last 2 times within 6 months have been horrible. Last night our party of 6 had horrible service. It took forever to get drinks and then when it was time to order we had to track down our waiter. The restaurant was not crowded at all. The bread basket is now $8 which use to be free and we got charged $8.50 for still water probably out of the tap. Who charges for tap water at a restaurant? We didn’t know this until we got the bill. The food was mediocre but definitely not worth the price. On our previous visit the waiter spilled one of our cocktails and charged us for it. A 20% gratuity is added but they do not let you know that so beware. If you read most of the reviews over the last 3 months you can tell this restaurant has really gone downhill.

  Went to celebrate my birthday and was seated in the lovely sunroom. My husband and I were served water but then we sat there for close to 20 minutes with no server. Finally my husband went to the hostess to inquire where our server was. Another waiter, Austin, came by to refill my water. He asked if I was waiting for the rest of my party. I said no my husband went to look for our waiter. He said I’m sorry about that and I will be happy to take care of you. He took over as our server and was great. I was disappointed no one else or Manager ever came by to check on us or to offer any service recovery such as a complimentary drink or dessert. It turns out that one waiter did not show up for work. It’s sad but at that level of establishment don’t seat people in a section without making sure team is in place. The table next to us had the same experience. Austin was great. Cheers to him!
