  After waiting for our reservation for 45+ minutes for our reservation we decided to leave. When we finally told the hostess to just cancel and we would go somewhere else there was no sort of apology or anything. Frankly this was my first and last time at this location. Too many solid restaurants in Dallas to waste your time here on rude staff and overhyped food.

  First time here loved it. Very good. Food atmosphere was nice and chill staff was very friendly and service was great. I would definitely recommend this for birthday parties. We're just a late night dinner or date night.

  Update: James - the dinning room manager called me and talked with the experience. He offered us a chance to come back and have a meal on them. We will take them up on this and revise the review after that. We chose Ocean Prime to celebrate our anniversary and unfortunately left disappointed overall. It took nearly 20 minutes before we were greeted by our waiter, which set the tone for the evening. The calamari appetizer was extremely overcooked and had to be sent back. While it was removed from the bill, the replacement appetizer was not comped, which was surprising given the issue. The bar also struggled - every cocktail we ordered was overly sweet and unbalanced. My steak was overcooked and tough, which was disappointing given the price point and reputation of the restaurant. Our side of smoked Gouda tater tots was also extremely salty and difficult to enjoy. Overall, the service was very slow, and it took nearly three hours to complete our meal from start to finish. That said, we did genuinely enjoy the oysters, which were fresh and well-prepared. I understand the restaurant was extremely busy, but for a bill approaching $400 - especially for a special occasion like an anniversary dinner - I expected a much higher level of service and attention to detail. Ocean Prime has a great reputation, which is why this experience was such a letdown.

  This was our 3rd New Years Eve in a row with them. Last year was not a great experience but we thought maybe it was just an overwhelming night. Last night was the worst dinner we have ever had out. First our reservation was for 8pm we arrived at 7:55 pm and the valet was a mess. I called to inform them we were just waiting to park the response was "We have a 15 min grace period" I am not sure if we were suppose to drive through the current cars or what? We were not seated until 9PM!!! If you knew you were that far behind why the rude comment of the grace period. Why not "no worries we are a bit backed up currently." Once seated it took 20 mins to be welcomed. No water, No drinks nothing. I had to ask if we had a server. Since it was so delayed we ordered everything. Appetizer, Dinner, Drinks. This was at 9:20pm. At 10 pm we still had no water, no drinks, no appetizer. I asked our server when we would get appetizer, drinks, even water he said "you don't have anything?" He comes back and tells us calamari is out. Brings us an alternative appetizer made with shellfish that my husband is allergic to! 10:20pm a table next to us is being served calamari. The manager was one we have not seen before (and we eat here often) he walked by us multiple times without asking if everything was ok? good? not one communication. When I called him over he had an attitude as though I was bothering him. Excuse me but 2 hours of waiting I would think you would be apologetic. He very rudely said "What do you want me to do? you have ate here before and the experience was better right? all I can do is comp your meal" I replied "Honestly we just want to eat we have now missed out on the other New Years plans due to this" He walked away. Not one time did he come back. We did not leave the restaurant until 11:25pm and we were a party of 2. Complete disappointment and food was served so late we couldn't even enjoy it as it was to heavy of a meal. We did not make it to the New Years countdown.

  My wife and I went there for her 30th. She has gluten and dairy allergies, and they were extremely accommodating. She ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and substituted the mashed potatoes for a dry baked potato; I ordered the King Salmon and the bread basket. Everything was served in a timely fashion and with great professional skill, and it all tasted incredible. Props to our server Austin.
