Good service, mediocre food. We started at Loro at 5p on a Friday night. There were a lot of families with babies and kids, and the music was setting a nice vibe. Every employee I interacted with was great! However, I came for the food, and the food just wasn't that good. We ordered a few happy hour shareables and some entrees. I didn't have anything to drink, but if I had, maybe I would have thought the food was better. I go into depth about every dish we tried later in my review, but we only enjoyed about half of the items ordered. If you plan on drinking heavily and want food to soak up the alcohol, then this place is a great spot to do that. If you are coming here strictly for the food, I'd recommend checking out another restaurant! However, if you are hell bent on coming to this Loro, I list out the 4 items that were alright/good. Shareables Wonton Chips and Dip - Chips are greasy and the salsa just isn't good. It felt like they were going for spicy, but instead the salsa was extremely sweet and overly salty. Smoked Salmon Dip - This dip was better, but was greasy. If this was served with a bread, it might have been balanced better. However, this dip was served with the Wonton Chips, which are also greasy. These two combined together made it (you guessed it) too greasy. Grilled Edamame - This was decent. It was the only of the apps that we finished. Not overly salty, well balanced. Entrees Char Siew Pork Belly - This was the best item we ordered. Flavorful and cooked to perfection. Oak Smoked Beef Brisket - Good texture, but slightly bland and not super flavorful. Sides Coconut Scented Rice - No complaints here! Rice was tasty and paired well with the other dishes. Charred Broccoli - Only issue with this was the portion for the price. I felt like the amount of broccoli provided was not worth the $8 paid for it. The flavor was good however. Sesame Rice Noodles - These were tasty and were my favorite side. If I were to re-order, I would have ordered: Grilled Edamame Char Siew Pork Belly Coconut Scented Rice Sesame Rice Noodles IF our table had only ordered these items, I likely would have give Loro a 4 in the food category. I don't plan on returning, but if I by some misfortune find myself here again, I'll probably stick to alcohol.

I’m sitting here slowly rotating in my wicker egg chair to some seriously inspiring music, the wind languorously tousling my hair, sipping on a frozen espresso martini wishing (not desperately, but something akin to that) for the good old days of the frozen Vietnamese coffee. The sliders we ordered were pure perfection, Smokey, juicy, dripping down my chin. But I’m sorely missing a frozen bourbon option. My night cannot be complete without it. Dear Loro. Hear my prayer. For the love of country and god And my sad little taste buds, please bring back the Vietnamese coffee. Or at least freeze me something with bourbon. My happy hour heart misses our perfect frosty connection.

This was my first time visiting and it was truly a pleasant surprise. The staff was amazing from start to finish, and the management team was top notch and welcoming. The food was so good and everything exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great experience.

Loro is our go to place when we want to escape the mundane and try something exotic. We’ve been there on numerous occasions for dinner but this was our first for lunch. The staff are always welcoming and aim to please. We picked out a seaweed salad, The Loro Burger and Malaysian Chicken Curry bowl. The seaweed salad was nice and crunchy. The burger was splendid. The potatoes as a side dish were delightful. Finally the Malaysian curry while a tad high on sodium was still packing a punch on the taste buds. All in all a quick and yummy lunch…

Got the smokehouse sampler which was pretty decent. The oak smoked brisket was very tender and flavorful. The BBQ sauce that came with it was just okay. I preferred the brisket by itself. The pulled pork was slightly dry but well seasoned. I ended up mixing it into the crunchy cabbage salad and the acidity in the salad was a nice balance to the pork and brisket. The chicken wings were not as well seasoned as I would’ve liked. I don’t know if they were smoked but I didn’t taste much smoke on them. The crispy potatoes were delicious with the dipping sauce. Most of them were crispy but a little more crispiness would’ve made them even better. Overall, I may go back to try some of their other offerings.
