Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

My friend and I came in to get breakfast the other day. We had a rough day because one of our close family friends got in an accident. We came to get food for everybody waiting at the hospital. I think the guys name was Cesar but he made our time so rough. We just wanted to clarify our order so that everyone could get their favorite whataburger comfort food amidst all the crazy in the moment. He was talking to another girl or worker in the moment who also worked there while taking the order. When I asked him a clarification on the order, he had to take his headset off and press pause on his AirPod he had in his ear under the headset, and then preceded to give attitude when I said I wanted to change one of our breakfast burgers to only creamy pepper sauce on the side. He rolled his eyes after and put back in his AirPods and preceded to press play back on his AirPods. My friend and I are only leaving reviews because it doesn’t kill to be nice or understanding. Others things do. It’s not hard to be a decent human being and give some one your time and patience for two seconds.

I’m writing this because my experience with an employee named Ceasar at this Whataburger location was completely unprofessional and disappointing. During my visit on Monday this past week, Ceasar displayed a rude and dismissive attitude both toward customers and his own coworkers. He seemed irritated the entire time and made no effort to communicate respectfully or provide basic customer service.
When I asked a simple question about my order, he responded with attitude instead of assistance. The tone and body language were disrespectful enough that nearby customers even noticed. I’ve always associated Whataburger with friendly, welcoming service — but this interaction was the opposite.
I hope a manager looks into this and addresses it directly. Experiences like this make customers not want to return, and it reflects poorly on the entire team when a lead acts this way.

I dont typically leave reviews but today i decided to stop at this location on the way home from work. A lot of the time, i order no buns to keep my carbs in check and the protien and toppings are usually just thrown into the take out box at any fast food place (its not a big deal for me). But this time was different. I was surprised to see that the toppings were nicely layed out and it really just made my day. I will come to this location primarily now because the thoughtfulness was just really nice. Its the little things. Thank you. 🧡🤍🧡
