Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I went to this whataburger one morning around 2 or 3 am ,I didn't realize food had went up that much ,I depend on my social security. I hate I didn't get the young man's name, I was so hungry ,I had maybe 2 dollars I requested a small bun with just sausage the lady at the register told me I didn't have enough and turned me away as I was leaving a young Hispanic male with tattoo called me back 😢 paid back paid for me a sausage and bun ,I was so pleased and thankful to him ,it restores your belief in humanity, I'm so angry with myself for not getting his name but God bless you son I really appreciate you sometimes after paying all my bills I end up a little short he was a blessing to me .I want to say thank you to a young man with a good warm heart, I've been back to that whataburger looking for him to repay him ,haven't seen him yet if he no longer works there I pray his happiness, success 🙏 and may God's Grace carry him and family for the rest of his life I know his mother is proud of him so am I .I'm 78 years old (retiree)sometimes that change doesn't stretch as far as we want it too.But to give of your heart to someone hungry that was priceless to me.God bless you young man.

Put way too much sauce every time. This time they put nothing but mustard on my burger. Whole burger was soaked and tasted nasty

I had forgotten why it had been awhile that I had eaten a whataburger. I went today and ask for 2 burger combos all the way with cheese. Ordered onion rings as well with 1 meal. First of all the burgers do not taste the same like before, that's why I do not care for it. Anyway, our burgers had lots of tomato and pickles and maybe like 6 onion bits. I would have personally preferred more onion than pickles and tomato. We removed majority of the tomatoes and pickles. The burger tasted bland, no taste whatsoever. The onion rings tasted nasty, flavor as well and like if they were done with burnt/old oil. My husband cut off the ends of the fries because they were hard. I didn't call to complain because we had gone through the drive thru and I wasn't going to go back. So no more whataburger for me anytime soon. The employees that took my order and the gentleman that came out to collect and give us our order were very nice. It's just the food.🤮

I ordered a patty melt with grilled jalapeños and bacon, and although I was charged for both, my order came without the bacon. When I called the next morning to get it corrected, I spoke with the manager Gary, who was very rude, argumentative, and disrespectful. Instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue, he made the situation worse. When I asked to speak with the general manager Sandra, she said the only thing she was willing to do was refund the bacon — no effort to properly accommodate or make up for the mistake.
Very disappointing customer service. I expect better from Whataburger, especially when it comes to handling a simple mistake with professionalism and respect.
The meal was my lunch for work…
This experience was so disappointing, especially for someone that used to work for the company for many years.
