Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
While many customers enjoyed the food, there were several complaints about incorrect orders, cold food, and stale fries.
Cleanliness
The restaurant received mixed reviews on cleanliness, with some praising it as clean while others reported dirty tables and unsanitary conditions.
Customer Service
Customer service was inconsistent; some staff were praised for their attentiveness and friendliness, while others were criticized for poor service and attitude.
Atmosphere
The two-story layout and views were appreciated, but the presence of homeless individuals and noise from large crowds detracted from the dining experience for some customers.
Speed of Service
Service speed varied significantly, with some customers experiencing long wait times while others noted quick service.

Exact same Wataburger and flavors that you enjoy across the entire country. I did like the second story, I did not like the poor parenting of other patrons and their children running around like maniacs. The view for anyone that doesn't live near the beach is great. There are a few buildings in the way blocking a perfect view.

A fun place to eat with a second story view of the view while you eat.

We had our friend who loves Whataburger with us on our trip to visit Corpus Christi and we had to surprise him with a visit to the 2 story one!

Homeless everywhere, at every hour, and all over this business, inside and outside; they are digging the trash cans inside the business, then cross-contaminating everywhere. TAKING OLD CUPS TO THE SODA FOUNTAIN; ***FROM A FOOD SAFETY PERSPECTIVE THIS BUSINESS SHOULD NOT PASS INSPECTION***
There are food banks, but they want burgers.
It is not fair for the customers (we pay property taxes), or for the small business.
The more I think about it, the more we should be infuriated with the City not resolving this issue.
I have been living for years in the area. Customers leave when too many homeless are inside, don’t feel comfortable. WE HAVE LEFT SEVERAL TIMES ALSO.
Now, I came from a third World country; I worked really hard, I am respectful.
I see a lot of very young homeless that took bad decisions. There are FOOD BANKS THAT WILL GIVE THEM FOOD, Some others are getting disability checks.
The business MUST WORK WITH THE CITY OR CLOSE THIS BUSINESS FOR GOOD.
LETS GET REAL FOLKS, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
