Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Go to JOE'S crab shack over the water. Same price better experience. This Whataburger gave me a Dirty table, Dirty floors, and what-a-waste of a good location for an overpriced melted milkshake that only had a drop of malt and drip of chocolate. I didn't order a glass a milk.

My cousin and I stopped by this location for the first time, as we were in the area visiting the Selena statue. My cousin is visiting from out of town and has limited English.
The cashier, Sierra, rang up his order (around $15), and he paid with a $100 bill. She only gave him $60 in change. When he tried to ask her to double-check the total, she ignored him and attempted to take the next customer’s order.
He remained at the counter and continued trying to explain that the amount was incorrect and that he was missing $15. He did not move, as he was concerned she might claim he had already received the correct change. It wasn’t until a manager stepped in that the mistake was acknowledged.
This was a very uncomfortable experience, especially given the language barrier. Customers should not have to insist multiple times to receive the correct change. Please double-check your receipts and change at this location.

Staff is incompetent. A man approached my kids and I in the parking lot harassing us. I let the employee at the counter know and he looked at me like I was stupid. There was drug paraphernalia on the stairs leading up to the second story. Sad because it’s such a beautiful part of the city.

This is one of the best whataburgers I have been to and I have been to a lot of them the food is very very hot and fresh thos is one of those unique places everyone should go to before its either gone or there is more built up around it might be because it was my first time to the 2 story Whataburger but I took my food upstairs and outside the view of the bay is fantastic along with the great food it is perfect a very unique o e of a kind place the staff is super friendly and attentive as soon as you walk in the door ready to help you order. Everyone is able to enjoy the view if you can't take the stairs they have a elevator to take you to the top a must see place

I arrived to late to eat at my hotel but this place saved me. I got the sauced chicken and the triple burger. They were both made well and came out in a reasonable amount of time. So that they are open 24 hours and they they are not only a drive through like many of their competitors.
