My server was excellent. My potato was cold enough that it did not even melt the butter or the cheese. The light in the women's bathroom didn't work, and I had to use a flashlight to use the restroom. Overall, I'd give it another try. But today... it was what it was.

If you have an interview here, they will waste your time. This is a ghost job because there’s no reason why the job would have a opening but not be hiring. They just collect your information for metrics to make it seem like they’re doing successful interviews.
I had an interview with Gary and he told me that they were hiring servers and then I received this text today. Do not interview here.

It had been years since we’d been to Outback, but we had a gift card and thought it would be fun to go for lunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday.
We arrived right as they opened, were greeted quickly, and seated without any wait. Ambiance-wise, it was quiet, laid-back, and exactly what you’d expect from a traditional chain restaurant. Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough for a casual lunch.
Our server (wish I could remember his name!) was super friendly, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Definitely the kind of service you hope for when you go out.
They even brought us table bread, which was a fun surprise! It wasn’t warm (would’ve preferred that), but still not bad.
For food, we decided to share their 3-course meal:
-Tasmanian Chili — hearty and surprisingly flavorful, definitely better than expected.
-Upgraded Sirloin Steak — ordered medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked, with a side of broccoli.
-Triple Layer Carrot Cake — delicious and moist, definitely worth it.
-Birthday Dessert (NY Cheesecake) — because you can never have too many desserts, right? Solid cheesecake.
So here’s where the stars drop: the pacing of the meal and drinks was… rough. We ordered a beer and their Boomerang sampler when we first sat down, and our chili came out before we even got drinks. We let our server know, and he went to check, but then the rest of our food showed up — still no drinks. Eventually we asked him to just cancel the order.
To top it off, our check came before dessert. Even after paying, we had to ask multiple times for the cakes, and finally just requested them to-go because of the wait. Honestly, it felt like our server was doing everything he could to take care of us, but the kitchen and food runners were completely sabotaging him.
Overall, the food itself really surprised us in a good way — tastier than we remembered. But based on how long things took and the way items came out, we’d probably only consider coming back if the kitchen service and runners stepped up their game.
