  As a longtime customer of Old Thousand (same owners, located next door), I was surprised by the quality of service at Electric Gravy. It was bad. The hostess greeted us with a mouthful of food, then, we suspect, mis-entered our order into the system. Our samosa appetizers came quickly, but we had to wait 20 minutes for the only beverage we ordered (a bottle of beer). Another 20 minutes later, we had to ask for an update on our mains and sides, which the waiter we talked to seemed to offload to another server. We later watched him ignore another customer, quite blatantly. The restaurant was not busy at the time, only 4 other tables, which made the service especially frustrating. When the food finally arrived, it was perfectly mediocre. There was a small chunk of meat in the paneer tikka masala, which is listed as a vegan dish. The pork vindaloo tasted like something from the frozen aisle. If we weren't starving I don't think we would have eaten more than a few bites. We tried this place the day it opened and were not impressed, but chalked it up to being opening day. We hoped that, more than 9 months later, things would have improved. We were disappointed this was not the case because we wanted to like this restaurant. This place is not cheap by any means, which is strange considering how reasonably priced Old Thousand is. I recommend saving your money and your time by going elsewhere. Tarka (a chain!) has yet to disappoint.

  Came here with 2 children 7 & 4 at around 6-8pm. The Service was Amazing!! They were very Welcoming. The atmosphere was warmly lit with a great ambiance good music of all types. They don't have an actual kids menu but my kids love the Grilled Butter Chicken & Cheese panini with fries and rice. We also ordered 2 Chicken Tikka Marsala & 1 Shrimp Tikka Marsala. 2 orders of Naan, 1 Virgin Mumbai. We were stuffed. They do automatically charge a 20% tip as part of your bill. You also can get a good deal on Groupon!! David was our Server and Bartender!! His drink was amazing and they offer Virgin mocktails for all of their drinks.

  Surprisingly solid anglicized Indian. Vada pav, the daal (with An “a”, better than the channa), the Manchurian cauliflower was done right!

  Just about everything here was excellent. The queso was some of the best in town, it had great flavor and was a good portion size. Definitely want to come for happy hour. The grilled cheese left a bit to be desired, can absolutely skip that next time we visit.
