Pierogies were great, as were the Kolduny pancakes.
That being said... Our order was completely wrong. I ordered mushroom, and bacon pierogies, and got just the plain potato variety.
We also ordered a side of rice, that we didn't receive.
Probably just an off day, but the food we did get was great!

After spending some time in Georgia and eating at various restaurants, I have been missing the food since I returned home. The Chicken Kiev brought me back. It’s was so good it had me in tears of joy. Even the mashed potatoes were so similar. I tried a new soda that resembles the look and taste of cream soda, so I got a huge bottle of it. I also got chocolate from Germany. And ice cream I never thought I would see in the US. That ice cream beats every ice cream in this country! HANDS DOWN! My biggest regret was not coming here sooner. It tasted and felt like home. Great and polite staff. Good environment. This is a gem. I will definitely be back!!! I spent more as I bought stuff from the shop they have. Unfortunately it will be gone next year. I’ll have to buy everything I can the next time I go.
Update: ordered online and the food is just as warm and delicious.

Great Eastern European food (Russian, Ukrainian and maybe Polish dishes)! Many of the entrees are quite hardy and filling. Breaded pork or chicken, lots of potato-based dishes, roasted veggies and savory meats. You can also get a Jäger Schnitzel, although I didn't get to try that classic German dish this time around. The service was helpful, friendly and attentive.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for the atmosphere is because I remember the old set-up which was a bit more eclectic and had the tables portioned off with a bit more privacy and more decor/knick-knacks. I preferred that over the new set-up, which is, however, still very comfortable and relaxing.

My husband and I drove from Lewisville to Arlington yesterday to try Taste of Europe Restaurant. When we pulled in to the restaurant we could not believe what we saw. The restaurant had a sign out front saying help wanted, the appearance of this restaurant is not what you see online. It looks as if this is an abandoned building, on a lot that is unkept to say the least. It had an OPEN lighted sign on door but only one car was in the entire restaurant lot. We arrived at 12:45 which should be lunchtime. It was a truly sad and disappointing experience since we drove there for my son's birthday thinking we would get good European food. We usually go to German restaurants in the area but my son had traveled to Poland and wanted to try this restaurant. Owners, you need to clean up your restaurant, paint it, clean up the dead landscape and make it welcoming. Sorry, but most people will leave like we did before trying food.
