Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times, often exceeding 30 minutes, particularly during late-night hours.
Food Quality
While some customers praised the food as delicious and fresh, many others complained about cold, stale, or improperly prepared items.
Customer Service
Mixed reviews on staff friendliness; some employees were noted for excellent service, while others were described as rude or unhelpful.
Order Accuracy
Numerous complaints about incorrect orders, missing items, and poor handling of customer issues.

Always order from the app so you don’t have to sit in the drive through or stand around in the store. But this visit I stood at the counter for 10 full minutes being completely ignored by all staff until I hollered out “ I have an App order just give me my food so I can go. The fry cook glares at me and says what’s the name. Sees my bag then apologizes and gives me my food.

We had been on the road all day wanted a hot juicy burger and we both love whataburger we went at 830 pm central time and everything was cold and stale idk if it was kids working that had a part to play in that but I won’t recommend going late at night my wife’s crispy chicken was very old. My burger patty was very dry. Fries were very cold. It was the worst experience we had.

You have become by far the slowest in town. Long John silver has 1 store and I can get in and out within 10 minutes. How is that incan sit 45 minutes timed by a watch and still not order my food. Then sit 20 more minutes to get a plain double cheeseburger.
