Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times, especially in the drive-thru, with some experiencing waits of over 30 minutes.

Rough day on holiday, I was in the drive through for a solo online order for about an hour. But the problem was not the crew, I know these things tend to be management decisions, maybe someone got sent home early, or started the day with a minimalist crew. Which is a very bad idea being one of the few places open. It may have been better to take a pause for a day. I am forgiving but most people are not.
That said I repeat that I dinbblame the crew, experience taught me that sometimes these things are often not even the store manager's fault but they take the heat and ones above try to compensate by turning the screws even tighter on an already decent crew. This causes walkouts.
After I did get to the window, the staff was nice despite the pressure which is impressive, and the food was legit great, it was not rushed, I won't get food poisoning, it looked good, tasted good and had good texture and was correct to the order. Typically under such a rough day it's easy for quality to suffer but at least with my order, I have zero complaints. Decent crew plus bad management chasing a few short term profits will typically lead to long term struggle when that team leaves to better places. My blame goes to corporate and mid management, I cannot see what the store manager had to deal with so I won't blame them understanding the pressures often put on them from the mid and upper guys to make the decisions that happen and sometimes go very wrong like tonight.

I got my burger and it was completely falling apart and the fries tasted like a potato that’s been sitting on the counter for 6 months. Zero flavor.
