I recently received the most joyous news that My son and daughter in law are expecting their second baby and as you know expectant mothers have cravings. Now I live in Las Vegas Nevada and my son works for a company that requires him to travel constantly so them being so far away in Amarillo I do everything I can to send my love and support. Today was no exception. My daughter in law had a craving for a Large McDonalds “chicken nuggies” Happy meal and since I am so far away I sent her the money so she could get what she wanted. But for me it’s more than that it’s helping my kids feel loved and supported when we can’t be together. After a while I followed up with my daughter and unfortunately her experience wasn’t what I had expected to hear: “ They gave me a Big Mac instead of my nuggets and then a medium fry instead of a large so I went in to get the right food and I come back and they gave me the same fry and 8 nuggets in my 10 piece 😢😭” She was very upset to say the least. Nothing worse than hearing tears after doing my best to make my daughters day. I tried to call the location but there was a recording with no option to speak to the manager. So I called the corporate office to log a formal complaint. I felt helpless in my ability to turn her day around. Just imagine being pregnant and on the road with no family support near. No hugs no familiar faces. Anyone would be emotional especially when asking for something so simple and being met with such a lack of regard for the customer. Especially charging an honest customer money and having no concern for a simple honest exchange. To just give a customer what they paid for. Do better!
