We ate lunch on Sunday the 11th of January.
Our server was excellent.
I had the salmon Oscar with mashed potatoes and the asparagus. I had the soup with my meal. My soup was luke warm, but my meal was good besides the soup.
My husband's was a Huge disappointment! He had the chicken fried steak. It had too much breading and the steak was tough. His brussel sprouts were Burnt! They should of Never left the kitchen. Needless to say he left hungry.
We said something to our server and a manager took our drinks off. We didn't feel that was adequate, but we are not complainers and were not out to get a free meal.
We've ate at Saltgrass quite a few times and never were disappointment like this time.
And it was Not busy so were surprised.
Saltgrass is a bit pricey, but we've always felt it was worth it. Not this time
I gave it a 3 out of 5 because 1 of the meals was good. My husband said he would of gave it a 2.

Thank you, for a disappointing experience as a first time customer. My wife and I went there to celebrate my 65th birthday (even mentioned it when I made the reservation) and was let down big time. We were finally seated and waited approximately 10 minutes before the bartender chose to ask us if we had been served. Instead of looking for our waiter, she took our order and went back behind the bar. She eventually bought our bread and drinks and that was it. We sat, we waited, we saw other people seated and even served, but we were forgotten. We had to stop another waiter to see what was up, but by that time we have had enough. Grabbed our coats, told the manager at the desk, we were leaving, willing to pay for our bread and drinks, but all he said was not to worry about it. Turns out, after a conversation with an employee that will stay nameless, table 119, the one we were at, didn’t have an assigned waiter, and that manager supposedly knew that, yet put us at that table. I say all this to express my disappointment for this place and will not see me again.

My wife and I were looking for a good meal after an exhausting travel experience, and we ended up here. It hit all the right marks. Our server, Cori, made us feel welcome without being bothered all the time, so we were able to enjoy our meal. And that was great! Cori recommended the salmon Oscar, which my wife had and loved. I’m not much for fish, so I got the filet Oscar and wished I’d gotten the 9 ounce to have some to take home. We did take a slice of carrot cake home, and it made a great midnight snack.

On the 29th I took my son out there for his birthday. There were five of us. We ordered food me and my son got the loaded baked potato soup. It came to the table not even warm just room temperature. I ordered the country fried steak and it come to me. It was so dry. The crust was falling off and the waitress said oh that’s just the end. Green beans were so shriveled up they looked like they had been cooked too long. My daughter-in-law ordered the ribeye and shrimp and she couldn’t even eat. Her shrimp is the worst food that we ever ate feel like I wasted $190.86. name to say we will probably never visit the restaurant again

I had two bad experiences, on the same vacation. I’ve only been to one other Saltgrass in Dallas and enjoyed. On Christmas Eve I asked a server about last seating and she said 6pm. I come at 5:40 and manager Gill says unless I have a reservation I can’t be seated even though it was empty and before closing. At this time I wasn’t sure if it was rude or what. I came back Saturday morning before leaving town, after my family was seated I walked to the front and asked where is the restroom. Manager Gill pointed outside and said down the hall, we don’t have public restrooms. Now at this point I wasn’t sure if it was racist or he was just a rude guy. Truly disappointing experience. Food came out cold and had to be re made. $100 meal down the drain an unfortunate situation. I certainly would not recommend this location.
